摘要: The presently disclosed subject matter generally relates to recyclable insulation material for shipping containers, groceries bags, etc., machines for making the recyclable insulation material, and methods for the making the recyclable insulation material. In one aspect, a method of forming an insulation product may include forming a continuous sheet of paper into a plurality of flexible loops defining a plurality of air channels extending in a direction that is substantially perpendicular with a machine direction of the continuous sheet of paper. The method may also include immediately attaching a first layer of paper and a second layer of paper to the plurality of flexible loops as they are formed so that the continuous sheet of paper retains the plurality of flexible loops between the first layer and the second layer and that the plurality of flexible loops remain unattached with respect to one another.

摘要: A vacuum insulated structure including a tube having an outer wall, a jacket surrounding the tube to enclose an annular insulating space, the jacket having an end that terminates at the outer wall of the tube, a seal formed between the end of the jacket and the tube to preserve a vacuum within the insulating space, and a fitting affixed to one of the tube and the jacket for coupling the vacuum insulated structure to an external device. A method of making a vacuum insulated structure including forming a tube and a jacket, positioning the jacket over the tube to form an annular insulating space, with an end of the jacket being positioned adjacent to an outer wall of the tube to form a vent, causing air to escape through the vent, sealing the vent, and affixing a fitting to one of the tube and the jacket.

摘要: A machine for making insulation may include two or more rotatory members configured to pull a precut insulation product at a first rate, wherein the precut insulation product comprises a first paper layer, a second paper layer, and a continuous paper core sheet, a first restraint and a second restraint spaced apart a predetermined distance to create a first space therebetween, and two or more second rotary members configured to feed a continuous paper sheet at a second rate into the first space such that the continuous paper sheet forms a plurality of flexible loops defining a plurality of air channels that extend in a direction that is substantially perpendicular with a machine direction. The first rate may be slower than the second rate.

摘要: A piping system includes a first and a second inner tube assembled end to end and a hot fluid detector. For each inner tube, a first peripheral tube into which the inner tube is introduced and fixed. For each first peripheral tube, a second peripheral tube into which the first peripheral tube is introduced and fixed. A sleeve has a first section which surrounds the ends of the second two peripheral tubes facing one another and a second section which extends between the two ends up to the walls of the first two peripheral tubes. A pipe crosses the sleeve and opening out, on the one hand, into the space between the inner tubes and the first peripheral tubes and, on the other hand, in the vicinity of the hot fluid detector. A piping system of this kind is therefore thermally insulated and allows detection in the event of a leak.

摘要: According to the present invention, novel foam panels and blocks are provided which are produced by welding and/or adhering foam tubes to one another. The foam panels are used particularly as insulating and/or drainage panels, and the foam blocks are used for the production of super lightweight panels the cavities of which are optionally filled with gypsum, cement, or other material. Composite structures made therefrom exhibit excellent sound-absorbent properties.Moreover, the invention provides a process and an apparatus for welding foamed synthetic resin tubes to one another and/or to other foam materials. The synthetic resin surfaces to be welded together are guided by way of a spacer means at a distance past an electrically heated heat source to form a heating channel where the surfaces are melted and pressed together thereafter. The process and the apparatus are suited especially well for welding foams of non-crosslinked low-density polyethylenes.
