Abstract:
A method for operating an automation device, into the memory of which an automation solution has been loaded, wherein a technology-oriented control interpreter accesses a data warehouse of the automation solution, and is able to control external commands by virtue of such commands being analyzed and being implemented according to the analysis, where the technology-oriented control interpreter extracts at least one entity designation and at least one instruction from a respective command, the technology-oriented control interpreter searches for an object matching the entity designation in the data warehouse of the automation solution and, in the event of success, checks whether the instruction contained in the command has been defined for the found object, and where the technology-oriented control interpreter causes execution of the instruction for the found object.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method for transforming a sequence comprising multiple words from a natural language to a machine executable sequence in real-time to control a machine. The sequence constituted by multiple characters forming words from the natural language is preprocessed by comparing the sequence to data from a database comprising classes. The sequence is searched for simple expressions and GI expressions known to be an upstream function class or a downstream function class. The sequence is dichotomized until all of the function classes contained in the sequence that are capable of resulting in dichotomies have been dichotomized. The first to the last classes of the sequence are iterated and each executable class is executed by a machine.
Abstract:
A control system, a control method, and a computer readable medium having stored thereon a computer executable program code for controlling electromechanical medical devices is disclosed herein. The method comprises: receiving by a control system a sequence of symbols; translating the received sequence of symbols into a batch of commands parsable by an electronic controller of the electromechanical medical device; sending the batch of commands from the control system to the electromechanical device; and causing by the electronic controller the electromechanical medical device to execute the batch of commands on the electromechanical medical device.
Abstract:
A stage lighting system is comprised of a plurality of lamp units which may have diverse communication protocols, functions and data parameters. The stage lighting system is controlled by a modular control system comprised of a modular controller mainframe interconnected with a plurality of control devices which may have diverse communications protocols and data formats. The modular controller mainframe consists of a plurality of input and output modules, mass storage devices and a main processor kernel, all interconnected by a number of data buses. The input modules serve as an interface between the modular controller mainframe and the diverse protocols of the various control devices. Similarly, the output modules serve as an interface between the modular controller mainframe and the diverse protocols of the various types of lamp units. The modular controller mainframe serves as an interface system by providing one or more of said input or output modules with the capability of translating parameter commands, where necessary, to accommodate control devices having diverse communications protocols and output devices having diverse communications protocols, functions and data formats. The system may also include a distributed control system for a lighting system in which two or more fully-functional control devices are online simultaneously to control any function of any of a plurality of luminaries from the control devices. Various methods for arbitrating and resolving conflicts between or among plural control consoles are also used.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for controlling industrial process automation and control systems can automatically, through the use of machine learning (ML) models and algorithms, extract plant assets from engineering diagrams and other plant engineering data sources. The systems and methods can establish asset relationships to create a plant asset registry and build an asset hierarchy from the plant assets. The systems and methods can generate an ontological knowledge base from the plant asset hierarchy, and provide an HMI for controlling the industrial process based on the plant asset hierarchy and the ontological knowledge base.
Abstract:
A computer system for generating a cause effect matrix as a user interface to develop a control program based on the cause effect matrix and to compile and download the resulting program into a programmable controller. A cause effect matrix diagram is used to develop a function block diagram program which is a standard IEC 1131-3 language. The function block diagram is translated into structured text which is compiled into intermediate code. The intermediate code is translated into the native code for the micro-processor of the target control system, including but not necessarily limited to the Motorola processor MPC-860. The automation of a cause effect matrix diagram to generate a function block diagram permits additional capability by allowing functions for causes, intersections, and effects. Because special functions may be included, the results of a cause generate timing functions or other computations before initiating the effect.
Abstract:
A control data input apparatus for feeding control data to an electronic apparatus, wherein words of a natural language representing a plurality of control commands for a controlled system are received and, after analysis of the natural language expressed by a combination of the words, the control commands are fed to the controlled system so that control of such system is rendered executable by the input natural language. The apparatus comprises word input system with an input keyboard provided corresponding to words of a natural language which represent a plurality of control commands for a controlled system, and natural language processing system responsive to a word input from the input keyboard of the word input system and functioning to analyze the natural language expressed by a combination of the words from the word input system, thereby forming data of control commands represented by the natural language. The control commands represented by the natural language and analyzed by the natural language processing system are fed to a controlled system.
