Abstract:
An elevator system has a door operator with a door operator motor and a dedicated microprocessor for storing door open and door close cycles. The microprocessor initiates door open and close cycles responsive to external door open and door close commands. Preferably the microprocessor stores a plurality of door closed cycles in which the elevator controller selects one of the cycles when issuing a door closed command.
Abstract:
An addressing apparatus and a corresponding method are described, such that addressing of network components, which are connected via a bus and which each have an address including a permanent base address and an offset address linked thereto, is accomplished with a device for transmitting the address via the bus. A coding device, insertable between the bus and a relevant network component, for defining the corresponding offset address using one or more predetermined coding signals generated thereby, is additionally provided. It is possible thereby to achieve a simple manner of addressing components (which preferably have identical functions and identical base addresses) that requires no manual action by the user on the components.
Abstract:
A stage lighting system is comprised of a plurality of lamp units which may have diverse communication protocols, functions and data parameters. The stage lighting system is controlled by a modular control system comprised of a modular controller mainframe interconnected with a plurality of control devices which may have diverse communications protocols and data formats. The modular controller mainframe consists of a plurality of input and output modules, mass storage devices and a main processor kernel, all interconnected by a number of data buses. The input modules serve as an interface between the modular controller mainframe and the diverse protocols of the various control devices. Similarly, the output modules serve as an interface between the modular controller mainframe and the diverse protocols of the various types of lamp units. The modular controller mainframe serves as an interface system by providing one or more of said input or output modules with the capability of translating parameter commands, where necessary, to accommodate control devices having diverse communications protocols and output devices having diverse communications protocols, functions and data formats. The system may also include a distributed control system for a lighting system in which two or more fully-functional control devices are online simultaneously to control any function of any of a plurality of luminaries from the control devices. Various methods for arbitrating and resolving conflicts between or among plural control consoles are also used.
Abstract:
A supervisory control system including a control unit to which an object load is connected and an operation unit, both being connected to each other via a communication line. The object loads can be controlled according to desired various patterning control by sending out a control request signal to the communication line by the operation of the operation unit, a supervisory unit and an operation display unit, which have been developed for use in the supervisory control system. The operation unit, the supervisory unit and the operation display unit are so constructed as to constitute multi stage connection, thus in an application of these units in the manner of multi stage connection, they are easily available for a large scale supervisory control system with many object loads. Further an operation display unit which functions in a reaction display mode, an operation unit, and a supervisory unit with a temporal inhibit function for interlocking movement between the control operation of the operation unit and supervisory action of the supervisory unit, have been developed for users' convenience.

Abstract:
Display system comprising a number of lamp holders which each have a local control unit and which are suitable for holding and connecting to the local control unit a lamp, the local control units of the various lamp holders being connected to a common conductor bundle to which a central control unit and a supply unit are also connected. Each local control unit contains an address. If a local control unit receives a message containing the address of the local control unit from the conductor bundle it responds, depending on any other content of the message, for optionally activating the associated lamp, for optionally changing the address and for sending back a message which specifies the conducting state between connections for the lamp.
