    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for monitoring object storage in a data storage system. A storage device tray assembly includes a plurality of data storage bays configured to receive data storage devices, a plurality of data storage devices mounted in the plurality of data storage bays, and an interface expander device communicatively coupled to each of the data storage devices over a first communication interface. The interface expander device may include non-volatile memory storing object storage monitor code and operating system code, and one or more processors configured to perform port or switch initialization for communications to the plurality of data storage devices and execute the operating system code and the object storage monitor code to provide object storage monitor functionality for the plurality of data storage devices.

    Abstract: Initiating data transactions on a system bus is disclosed. In some implementations, a controller receives first information from a first peripheral requesting a first data transaction. The first information is received over a first communication link between the controller and the first peripheral. The controller receives second information from a second peripheral requesting a second data transaction. The second information received over a second communication link between the controller and the second peripheral. The controller determines first and second ranks for the first and second data transactions, respectively, based on the first and second information, and initiates based on the first and second ranks, the first and second data transactions on a system bus.

    Abstract: A data processing system has a system bus, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), a signal processor, a memory, compression and packing units, and a debug unit. The ADC samples a baseband signal, and provides a digitized signal representative of the baseband signal the system bus. The signal processing block converts the digitized signal to a processed signal in the frequency domain. The memory is coupled to the system bus and is for storing the processed signal. The compression unit is coupled to the system bus and is for capturing the processed signal and compressing the processed signal to produce a compressed signal. The packing unit is coupled to the compression unit and is for packing the compressed signal to produce a packed signal. The debug unit is coupled to the packing unit and is for converting the compressed and packed signal to a diagnostic message. The disclosed data processing system and method provides diagnostic messages in near real-time.

    Abstract: A Controller Area Network (CAN) device is disclosed. The CAN device includes a CAN controller and a transceiver coupled to the CAN controller. The transceiver includes a transmitter and a receiver coupled to a CAN bus interface. The CAN device also includes a security module coupled to the receiver. The security module includes an identifier table and a receiver controller. The security module is configured to receive an incoming CAN message, retrieve an identifier from the incoming CAN message, search the identifier table for the identifier and to alter the incoming message based on a result of the search.
