摘要: A chip resistor includes an insulating substrate, a first electrode, a second electrode, a resistor, a first heat transfer layer, a second heat transfer layer, and an insulating protective layer. The first heat transfer layer has a thermal conductivity greater than that of the insulating protective layer, and is in contact with the resistor and a first front electrode. The second heat transfer layer is separated from the first heat transfer layer. The second heat transfer layer has a thermal conductivity greater than that of the insulating protective layer, and is in contact with the resistor and a second front electrode.

摘要: A vehicle, such as a rail vehicle, has an electrodynamic braking apparatus with at least one brake resistor. The at least one brake resistor forms a portion of the vehicle body shell that is permanently closed and over which air flows on the exterior, in particular, during travel of the vehicle. In the alternative, the brake resistor is arranged in the immediate vicinity of the permanently closed portion. The brake resistor conducts away heat outwardly to the environment via the permanently closed portion. There is also described a brake resistor for a vehicle, in particular for a rail vehicle, which is configured accordingly.

摘要: Metal thermal grounds are used for dissipating heat from integrated-circuit resistors. The resistors may be formed using a front end of line layer, for example, a titanium-nitride layer. A metal region (e.g., in a first metal layer) is located over the resistors to form a heat sink. An area of thermal posts connected to the metal region is also located over the resistor. The metal region can be connected to the substrate of the integrated circuit to provide a low impedance thermal path out of the integrated circuit.

摘要: The present invention discloses a device comprising a thermal fuse and a resistor, the solid ceramic base of the wirewound resistor is changed to be hollow, forming a ceramic tube; the thermal fuse is placed in the solid ceramic base, the ceramic tube provides housing for the thermal fuse; a lead wire of the thermal fuse passes through an end cap of an end of the wirewound resistor, the other end of the thermal fuse extends out of the end cap of the other end of the wirewound resistor, the end cap of the wirewound resistor extends outwardly with a lead wire, then an epoxy resin is used to encapsulate the device. The present invention can be used as a basic unit and directly installed in an existing high-frequency charger; it is capable of replacing the existing simple wirewound resistor or the wirewound resistor with an external contact type thermal fuse, and realizing triple functions of general impedance, over-current fuse protection, and over-temperature protection in case of overload.

摘要: A resistor and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. Since a ceramic tube formed of a ceramic material is used and the ceramic tube is joined to sealing electrodes by use of brazing rings, joining strength and durability of the resistor are considerably improved. The resistor may be stably used at a high voltage due to excellent heat dissipation characteristics thereof.

摘要: A resistor unit adapted to be used in a resistor grid assembly. The resistor unit includes a supporting element and a resistor element. The supporting element has an aperture formed therein. The resistor element has a body portion and a tip portion at an end, which is adapted to be received in the aperture to mount the resistor element to the supporting element. Further, a tab extends from the end of the resistor element forming a part of the resistor element. The tab is configured to provide a heat shield between the supporting element and the resistor element.

摘要: A power resistor includes first and second opposite terminations, a resistive element formed from a plurality of resistive element segments between the first and second opposite terminations, at least one segmenting conductive strip separating two of the resistive element segments, and at least one open area between the first and second opposite terminations and separating at least two resistive element segments. Separation of the plurality of resistive element segments assists in spreading heat throughout the power resistor. The power resistor or other electronic component may be packaged by bonding to a heat sink tab with a thermally conductive and electrically insulative material.
