    摘要: In a coil winding machine, a unitary winding head is replaced by a winding head having a bobbin removably mounted on a mandrel. The bobbin has a cavity which receives a projecting portion of the mandrel in order to mount the bobbin on the mandrel. The bobbin is held in fixed relation on the mandrel with a plurality of screws which pass through holes through a hub at a first end of the bobbin and thread into axial bores in projecting portion of the mandrel. A plurality of segments separated by slots extend from the hub, each having a second end face which is convex at a slight angle and is aligned with a shoulder on the mandrel having a concave end face so as to urge the segments into engagement with the projecting portion of the mandrel as the screws are tightened in the axial bores in the mandrel. By so configuring the winding head, substantial savings in time and expense are achieved in repairing the winding head if there happens to be arcing between the winding head and coil during heat treating of the coil and testing of the coil for electrical continuity by passing a current therethrough.

    摘要: A superconducting magnetic coil includes a plurality of sections positioned axially along the longitudinal axis of the coil, each section being formed of an anisotropic high temperature superconductor material wound about a longitudinal axis of the coil and having an associated critical current value that is dependent on the orientation of the magnetic field of the coil. The cross section of the superconductor, or the type of superconductor material, at sections along the axial and radial axes of the coil are changed to provide an increased critical current at those regions where the magnetic field is oriented more perpendicularly to the conductor plane, to thereby increase the critical current at these regions and to maintain an overall higher critical current of the coil.

    摘要: A control arrangement for the wire supply of a stator winding apparatus is provided which produces an indication of when the amount of wire remaining in the supply drops below a predetermined level. The control arrangement includes an actual value resistance detector which produces an output voltage in accordance with the resistance of the supply and hence the wire remaining in the supply coil. A theoretical resistance value reference generator stores a voltage corresponding to the predetermined level referred to above and a comparator compares this voltage with that produced by the detector. The output of the comparator is utilized by control circuit which terminates operation of the winding apparatus and/or drives a suitable indicator.

One embodiment design consideration is a method to configure power transformer windings wherein the minimum distance of the primary windings from the winding axis/core center is greater (the primary windings are more distal) from the winding axis than the minimum distance of the secondary windings, which are wound around the minimum interior core diameter. This design consideration is extended from single bobbin transformer designs to split bobbin designs, with the requisite distal increase of the primary windings (from the core axis) geometrically provided by an enlarged core bobbin center leg (axial) dimension beneath the primary winding window. Another disclosed design consideration is to fix the primary winding length relationship to the core weight for given transformer specifications in accordance with the disclosed unexpected experimental results and formula.

    摘要: A method of, and means for, controlling the manufacture of a winding for an inductive apparatus, for example a transformer winding or a reactor winding, which winding is of the kind comprising a plurality of turns of a sheet composed of an electrically conductive metallic foil and an electrically insulating film on each side of the metallic foil. During the winding of the sheet, the metallic foil together with the insulating films is passed through at least one electrode device which comprises at least two rolls arranged one on each side of the sheet and having a different voltage compared with the metallic foil. At the electrode device, the insulating films are pressed with a certain pressure against the metallic foil across the entire width of the latter by means of the rolls, and the electrical insulation of both sides of the sheet is checked by separately sensing the leakage current which via each of the rolls passes through the respective insulating film.

    摘要: An apparatus for producing an electronic inductor includes a coil winder, a locator of inductor, and a spot electric welder. The coil winder includes a brushless DC motor, a single chip for controlling the DC brushless motor and a digital display screen. Locator of inductor is connected to a rotational axis of the DC motor of the coil winder via a connecting pole. Because the apparatus has multi-function, it can accomplish winding the coil, locating, removing the painting, welding and testing the electrical characteristic at the same time and much of the manual operation is replaced by the apparatus, not only the productivity is improved greatly, but also the product quality is ensured.
