    摘要: An oscillator includes a forward stage including first and second terminals and a transformer-coupled band-pass filter (BPF) coupled between the first and second terminals and including a coupling device between the first and second terminals, and a transformer including first and second windings in a metal layer of an IC. The first winding includes a first conductive structure coupled to the first terminal and a second conductive structure coupled to a voltage node, a third conductive structure including first and second extending portions connected to the first and second conductive structures. The second winding includes a fourth conductive structure including a third extending portion coupled to the voltage node, and a fourth extending portion coupled to the second terminal. The third extending portion is between the second conductive structure and the first extending portion, and the fourth extending portion is between the first conductive structure and the second extending portion.

    摘要: A circuit for an oscillator with common-mode resonance includes a first oscillator circuit and a second oscillator circuit coupled to the first oscillator circuit. Each of the first oscillator circuit or the second oscillator circuit includes a tank circuit, a cross-coupled transistor pair, and one or more capacitors. The tank circuit is formed by coupling a first inductor with a pair of first capacitors. The cross-coupled transistor pair is coupled to the tank circuit, and one or more second capacitors are coupled to the tank circuit and the cross-coupled transistor pair.     摘要: A voltage controlled oscillator includes a resonator and an amplifier. The resonator includes a capacitive element and an inductive element. The inductive element has a plurality of conductive segments forming a physical loop. The inductive element has electrical connections on the physical loop to the plurality of conductive segments forming at least one electrical loop disposed within an interior space formed by the physical loop. The amplifier has an input and an output, the input coupled to a first conductive segment forming a first impedance and the output coupled to a second conductive segment forming a second impedance.

    摘要: A voltage-controlled oscillator comprises a tank circuit and first and second pairs of transistors. Each transistor comprises a gate, a drain, and a source. The drains of the first pair are coupled to the tank circuit and the gates of the first pair are cross-coupled with the drains of the first pair. The drains of the second pair are coupled to the tank circuit and the gates of the second pair are cross-coupled with the drains of the second pair. The oscillator includes a first resonant filter comprising a first terminal coupled to the sources of the first pair and a second resonant filter comprising a first terminal coupled to the sources of the second pair. A method includes adjusting capacitance in a resonant filter to cause the resonant filter to resonate based on a selected frequency.
