    摘要: A differential signal conditioner circuit with common mode voltage (CMV) compensation is provided. The circuit includes a signal multiplexer that receives a input signal that includes a high and low signal and a reference CMV signal, a differential amplifier coupled to the signal multiplexer that receives the reference CMV signal and outputs a CMV error value during a first cycle, and receives the input signal and outputs an amplified difference signal during a second cycle. The circuit also includes a CMV measurement circuit that receives the reference CMV signal and outputs a confirmation value during the first cycle, and receives the input signal and outputs a CMV compensation value during the second cycle, and a processing element that receives the CMV error value, the amplified difference signal, the CMV compensation value, and a differential amplifier gain value and generates a CMV compensated output based on the received signals and values.

    摘要: An amplifier receives a differential signal and, in response, generates a first negative input current and a first positive input current. In a first operating mode, the amplifier receives a second differential signal, and, in response, generates a second negative input current and a second positive input current. In a second operating mode, the amplifier receives the second differential signal, and, in response, generates a third negative input current and a third positive input current. When the device is operating in the first operating mode, the first negative input current is summed with the second negative input current and the first positive input current is summed with the second positive input current. When the device is operating in the second operating mode, the first negative input current is summed with the third negative input current and the first positive input current is summed with the third positive input current.

    摘要: Circuitry and methods are disclosed that may employ common mode calibration circuitry configured to at least partially calibrate out impedance differences or mismatches between the differential signal paths of differential signal circuitry. The common mode calibration circuitry may be integrated as an internal part of integrated differential signal circuitry that includes a differential amplifier to reject common mode noise, and may be used to reduce or substantially eliminate any external and/or internal difference in signal path resistance that exists between the differential signal paths of the integrated differential signal circuitry. A common mode calibration signal may be internally or externally applied to the signal inputs of differential signal circuitry, and used to determine a setting for the common mode calibration circuitry that at least partially calibrates out impedance differences or mismatches between the differential signal paths of differential signal circuitry.

    摘要: A switched current resistor (SCR) PGA for constant-bandwidth gain control includes an inverting amplifier, a feedback resistor forming a feedback loop between an output side and an input side of the inverting amplifier, and a switched current resistor (SCR) array connected in parallel to the feedback resistor, and configured to tune a gain range between a maximum and a minimum. The SCR array includes a plurality of switched resistors, each comprising a switch in series with a resistor. When the plurality of switched resistors are switched by a gain-control logic, a plurality of switched current sources and a plurality of grounded resistors are switched correspondingly to deliver a transient current, an equivalent of which flows through the plurality of grounded resistors out from the input side of the inverting amplifier, leading to a feedback factor of the PGA being constant.

    摘要: A fully differential sensing apparatus and an input common mode feedback circuit are provided. The input common mode feedback circuit includes a common mode error amplifier and a plurality of adaptive conductance elements. Each adaptive conductance element behaves with a low impedance characteristic when its anode voltage is greater than its cathode voltage by a positive threshold voltage or, on the contrary, when the anode voltage of such an adaptive conductance element is lower than its cathode voltage by a negative threshold voltage, the adaptive element also behaves with a low impedance characteristic; otherwise the aforementioned adaptive conductance element behaves with a high impedance characteristic. The common mode error amplifier and a plurality of such adaptive conductance elements form a negative feedback loop to effectively maintain the input common voltage of a fully differential input amplifier, which can be used for a fully differential sensing apparatus.

    摘要: Systems and methods are provided using common-mode-voltage bias circuitry to make common-mode-voltage adjustments to differential driver circuitry in integrated circuit differential communications links. Adjustable bias circuitry may be controlled using static and dynamic control signals. Dynamic control signals can be produced by core logic on a programmable logic device or other integrated circuit. Static control signals can be produced by programmable elements. Bias circuit adjustments made at one end of a differential link can be used to improve performance at either end of the link or can be used to improve power consumption or to balance power and performance considerations. The same integrated circuit design can be used in both AC-coupled and DC-coupled environments. The bias circuitry can be formed from an adjustable current source and adjustable resistor. The current source and adjustable resistors can be controlled by the same control signals.
