    摘要: A method and system for automatically configuring an application after downloading the same via a website such as an enterprise web application that is installed on a server in a customer network. A “one-touch configuration” method simplifies the initial configuration of the application to be installed, and makes manual entries after installation unnecessary. The method according to the invention is further applicable to obtaining applications from the Internet, wherein a customer has an account with a provider. The customer logs in using the customer login thereof at the website of the company. The company is aware of which applications the customer has purchased, by means of the customer account information, and can proved corresponding supplementary downloads, including a licensing key. The licensing key can then be transmitted to the installed application in a simple manner using the method presented.

    摘要: In one embodiment, a method includes creating a catalog of service function (“SF”) profiles, wherein each of the profiles is associated with an SF and indicates a type of the associated SF; storing the catalog of SF profiles in a memory device of a service controller associated with the DVS; creating a service profile group template (“SPGT”) that includes at least one SF profile from the catalog of SF profiles, wherein the SPGT includes a service chain definition identifying at least one service chain comprising the SF associated with the at least one SF profile to be executed in connection with a service path and at least one policy for classifying traffic to the at least one service chain; deploying a first SPG instance based on the SPGT; and deploying an additional SPG instance based on the SPGT in accordance with a scaling policy included in the SPGT.

    摘要: A transmission control method and apparatus for network services and controller. The transmission control method for network services includes: negotiating, before start of the network services, operational modes supported by each of links, and detecting quality of services in the operational modes supported by each of the links; grouping all network services to be transmitted according to requirements of the network services on quality of services and the quality of services in the operational modes supported by each of the links, and allocating links and operational modes for each of the groups; and designating a link for each of the network services in the groups according to the links and operational modes allocated for each of the groups. Hence, abilities of transmission quality detection and adjustment of a multi-carrier optical communication system may be used to satisfy quality requirements of different network services.

    摘要: A tag mask generation method comprises receiving a section_selector flag indicating whether a tag mask for a section of a network packet is to be generated; receiving from a parser a parse information for the network packet, wherein the parse information includes a section_pointer that indicates a location of the section in the network packet; generating a pointer based on the section_pointer when the section_selector indicates that the tag mask for the section is to be generated; receiving a base mask for the section; and generating the tag mask via a shifter by shifting the base mask by the amount indicated by the pointer. The parse information may further include a section_pointer_valid flag indicating whether the section is included in the network packet, and the method may further comprise including the tag mask in a combined tag mask when the section_pointer_valid flag indicates that the section is included in the network packet.

    摘要: An Application-Aware Automatic Network Selection (ANS) router and method for automatic network selection, translation of data between networks, and application-specific feedback. In one embodiment, the router and method select between an Internet Protocol (IP) network and a Delay Tolerant Networking (DTN) network, monitoring the state of both networks, intercepting IP packets which could otherwise not be delivered, responding to the application that sent the packet, and translating a group of such packets into a DTN bundle; the software implementing this system resides on a network router that functions as a node on both the IP and DTN networks. In other embodiments, the system and method select between or among mobile ad hoc networks, sensor networks, vehicular networks, and satellite and deep space networks.
