摘要： Tools and techniques are described to automate commissioning of physical spaces. Controllers have access to databases of the devices that are controlled by them, including wiring diagrams and protocols, such that the controller can automatically check that each wire responds correctly to stimulus from the controller. Controllers also have access to databases of the physical space such that they can check that sensors in the space record the correct information for device activity, and sensors can cross-check each other for consistency. Once a physical space is commissioned, incentives can be sought based on commissioning results.

摘要： Systems and methods are provided for aligning status indicators on a terminal block of an I/O device by locating the status indicators directly adjacent to or integrated directly within their respective terminals on the terminal block. The status indicators are illuminated by LEDs or other light emitters disposed within a housing of the I/O device. Light from the LEDs are directed to the status indicators by light pipes disposed within the housing of the I/O device. LED activation circuitry disposed within the housing determines a manner in which to activate the LEDs to illuminate the status indicators based on inputs and outputs between the I/O device and a controlled process. In certain embodiments, the status indicators are disposed on a raised section of the I/O device, which may be part of a removable LED indication assembly including the LEDs, light pipes, and LED activation circuitry.

摘要： An electric device system includes a first unit and a second unit adjacent to each other. An elastically deformable first connecting terminal is provided in the first unit, and a second connecting terminal is provided in the second unit. When the first unit is assembled in the second unit, the first connecting terminal comes into contact with the second connecting terminal after sliding on an outer surface of a casing of the second unit. A bulging surface is provided in an exposed surface of the first connecting terminal, and a recess is provided in an exposed surface of the second connecting terminal. A part of the bulging surface and a part of an opening edge of the recess come into press-contact with each other by fitting a part of the bulging surface in the recess, thereby establishing electric conduction between the first connecting terminal and the second connecting terminal.

A modular data transmission system according to the invention comprises a mounting rail, a first bus participant and a second bus participant. Another modular data transmission system according to the invention comprises a mounting rail and at least a first bus participant. The mounting rail comprises at least one transmitting/receiving module. The first bus participant comprises a transmitting/receiving module and is releasably secured to the mounting rail. The mounting rail allows additional bus participants to be secured in an attachable manner to the first bus participant. Furthermore, the transmitting/receiving modules of the mounting rail and the first bus participant are constructed for data transmission by means of electromagnetic waves having a wavelength in the millimetre range.
