摘要: A adjustable shuttle stop apparatus for use in controlling feeding of material to a machining operation on a machine tool, such as a band saw. The apparatus comprises a feed conveyor, a band saw adjacent to the feed conveyor, a shuttle vise movably disposed on the feed conveyor, and an adjustable stop on the feed conveyor for adjusting a distance between the stop and the shuttle vise and for stopping the shuttle vise at the cutting position. The adjustable stop compensates for undesired movement of the shuttle vise caused by clamping the workpiece such that the distance between the stop and the shuttle vise remains substantially constant. This allows for a consistent cut length of the workpiece on subsequent cutting cycles. Different embodiments of the adjustable stop are disclosed along with a method of use of the apparatus.

摘要: A method for optimizing yield from a slicing apparatus, includes scanning and weighing a carcass, slab or loaf upstream of a slicing head of the slicing apparatus. The carcass, slab or loaf weight is divided by a desired pre-selected portion weight to determine the number of slices to be made. A remainder portion is allocated to an intermediate position along the carcass, slab or loaf to be sliced from the carcass, slab or loaf before a butt end portion, gripped by a gripper of the slicing apparatus, reaches the slicing head. The butt end portion is pre-arranged to be the desired pre-selected portion weight or at least an acceptable pre-selected portion weight. The butt end portion can then be released by the gripper as a desired or acceptable weight portion.

摘要: A method for cutting out a cutting (13) from a web (1) of endless textile fabric for producing workpieces from a fiber/plastic composite is described, with the web (1) of endless fabric made up of fiber strands (2, 3) being stitched at first according to the course (14) of the edge of the cutting (13) to be cut out before the cutting (13) is cut out from the web (1) of endless fabric. In order to provide advantageous process conditions it is proposed that the web (1) of endless fabric which can be conveyed step by step in a predetermined conveying direction (10) in longitudinal sections (6) concerning the conveying direction is stitched in sections exclusively within the cutting region on the one hand and is cut on the other hand and is conveyed further by a conveying step according to the section length after each sectional sewing and cutting process.

摘要: A cutter system for cutting a larger sheet into individual photographic images includes a cutter for severing a transverse strip containing one or more printed images from a larger sheet. A transport table positioned to receive the strip from the cutter includes two sets of drivers, one set for moving the strip longitudinally and a second set for moving the strip laterally to a second cutter that in turn separates the strip into individual photographs. Sensors in both cutters acting in response to fiducial marks on the larger sheet cooperate with the drivers for positioning the larger sheet and the severed strip at the proper cutting locations.

摘要: An electromechanical roll towel dispenser includes a housing with a roll carrier disposed therein to rotationally support a roll of towel material. An electro-mechanical feed mechanism is disposed in the housing to dispense measured sheets of the towel material. The feed mechanism operates in a first mechanical operational mode wherein the towel sheets are dispensed by a user grasping and pulling on a tail of the towel material extending from the housing, and a second electrical operational mode wherein a measured length of a next sheet is automatically and electrically fed out of the housing to define the tail for the next user.

摘要: An improved method and apparatus for recycling demolition brick for reuse in new construction. The bricks are recycled by having mortar removed from the demolition bricks, then stacking the recycled bricks for shipment. An automated process having seven stations is utilized from removing mortar from the demolition brick and stacking the brick. The first station includes a sorting area where the demolition brick is introduced into the automated process. The second station is a first cutting area where mortar is removed from the back surface of the brick. In the third station, the demolition brick is secured in a clamp and an image is taken of the front surface of the brick. The imaging data is used by the fourth station where cutting devices remove mortar from opposing ends of the demolition brick. Similarly, imaging data is utilized by the fifth station where a third cutting device removes mortar from the top and bottom of the demolition brick. At the sixth station, a loading arm removes the brick from the clamp and positions the brick on a shelf for placement onto a pallet. The bricks are properly stacked on a pallet at the seventh station for transporting to a site for reuse.
