    摘要: There is disclosed a marine propulsion system for a shaft-driven boat. The system includes a recess formed in the hull of the boat, and a drive cassette. The drive cassette includes: a housing; a static tube extending rearwardly from the housing and fixed relative thereto; and at least one drive shaft extending through the static tube and into the housing. The drive shaft is supported for rotation within the static tube by at least one shaft bearing, and is rotatably supported within the housing by thrust bearings. The static tube, the drive shaft, the or each shaft bearing, and the thrust bearings are all coaxially aligned with one another. The housing and the recess are mutually configured such that the housing may be engaged within the recess to install the drive cassette within the drivetrain of the boat.

    摘要: Submersible boat is capable of navigating both on the water surface and submerged, the diving taking place by dynamic effect when the operator requires it, the boat having a catamaran type structure, comprising two side floats which are maintained partially under the water-line while its cabin is kept totally above the water-line when the boat navigates at the water surface. Fins situated between the floats provide for the steerability of the boat, both submerged and at the water surface, while the thrust is generated by a pair of propellers situated at the lower end of the floats and actuated by diesel engines when the boat navigates on top of the water or is submerged in shallow waters, but in deep waters the engines are substituted by electric motors run by batteries.

    摘要: A ship's drive with two counterturning propellers, the rear propeller of which is fastened to an inner shaft and the front propeller of which is fastened to the head end of a hollow shaft, which runs concentrically with the inner shaft. The hollow shaft is connected to a gearing and the inner shaft is connected to a propulsion unit. A gearwheel is disposed at the foot end of the hollow shaft which engages a further gearwheel which is fastened to an input shaft running parallel to the inner shaft. The input shaft can be connected with the output of a second engine.

    摘要: Two separately operable turbines are regularly connected individually to two propellers, via reducing gears in each instance, whereby an intermediate shaft is included in each such power train. These intermediate shafts are interconnected via an interconnecting transmission gear with clutches at either end, so that this transmission is completely removed when both turbines drive the propellers while either turbine can drive both propellers when the clutches are operated.     摘要: The present invention pertains to an emergency propulsion system for both motor powered and sailing vessels which have a single propeller shaft. This emergency system may be used with inboard engines or with a sailing vessel that has a small engine used for moving said vessel and/or docking. While and when under way engine failure may be experienced. Such failure is usually very inconvenient to the user of the boat. Many times such failure can and does become a serious matter. The present hydraulic propulsion system of this invention is intended to provide a "get home" drive for trawlers or sailing vessels using a single engine. A small diesel engine that is used to provide electrical generation is also selectively employed to turn a hydrostatic pump and then through a fluid connected means drives a hydrostatic motor which drives a V-belt to the propeller shaft. The hydrostatic pump is operatively driven by the diesel engine but the motor is operatively connected to the propeller shaft only after the disabled main engine is disconnected from the propeller shaft.

An arrangement for a twin propeller drive, with each propeller driven by high-speed and low-speed engines as aforesaid, counter-rotates the propellers without reversing the direction of rotation of the drive inputs.
