    摘要: In the preparation of tertiary-butyl hydroperoxide by the direct oxidation of isobutane, the production of tertiary-butyl hydroperoxide, expressed as the quantity of the compound prepared per unit of reactor volume per unit of time, is enhanced by conducting the oxidation in a dense, supercritical phase reaction mixture at a temperature in excess of the critical temperature of the mixture, at a pressure in excess of the critical pressure of the mixture, and under conditions relating to composition of the mixture.

    摘要: A process for the continuous production of .beta.-isopropylnaphthalene hydroperoxide comprising oxidizing an isopropylnaphthalene mixture containing .alpha.- and .beta.-isopropylnaphthalene isomers with molecular oxygen or a molecular oxygen containing gas in an oxidation zone and recycling unreacted ispropylnaphthalene recoverd after the oxidation to the oxidation zone, in which the oxidation is carried out by controlling the .alpha.-isopropylnaphthalene content in the isopropylnaphthalene mixture continuously fed to the oxidation zone to about 15% by weight or less.

    摘要: Process, and resulting product, for improved hydroperoxidation of branched alkanes of at least 4 carbon atoms, especially useful in preparation of isoprene from isopentane; comprising the substantial elimination of acetic acid and similar by-products in the hydroperoxidation reaction which are harmful to the yield of the desired hydroperoxides; all of which is achieved by at least one washing between at least two successive oxidizing reactors. The wash solution may be just water or advantageously a pre-saturated aqueous solution containing the oxidation products which are desired not to be extracted from the organic phase of the reaction medium.

    摘要: Normally liquid peroxidic poly(perfluorooxyalkylene) compositions comprising a mixture of peroxidic poly(perfluorooxyalkylene) compounds, derivatives of the poly(perfluorooxyalkylene) compositions comprising a mixture of non-peroxidic polyfluoropolyether compounds, and derivatives of the polyfluoropolyether compositions comprising functional and non-functional derivatives of the polyfluoropolyether compositions are provided. Each peroxidic poly(perfluorooxyalkylene) compound comprises a backbone of randomly distributed perfluorooxyalkylene units, represented by the formulas --CF.sub.2 O--, ##STR1## and --O--, which when bonded to and --O-- of any of the perfluorooxyalkylene units, forms a peroxy group, --O--O--, which imparts the peroxidic characteristics to the material, and backbone-pendant perfluoroalkoxy groups or perfluoroalkoxy groups substituted with one or more ether oxygen atoms, the terminal ether oxygen atoms of which are bonded to carbon atoms of the ##STR2## backbone units.
