    摘要: An engine brake for a supercharged internal combustion engine for driving a motor vehicle is operated such that the working gas compressed during engine braking, prior to the end of the expansion cycle, is drawn at least partially from the working chambers of the engine through at least one throttle valve, with an exhaust turbocharger of the engine having an exhaust turbine with variable turbine geometry. The engine braking power is regulated based upon the travel of the throttle valve and/or an intake cross section of the exhaust turbine as a function of the operating parameters of the internal combustion engine and the vehicle driving speed. Upon issuance of a signal indicating a braking performance requirement from the driver, the required braking power is applied at least preferably through the engine brake.

The driving brakes (10) are applied proportionally to a change in position of the gas pedal. A speed of the engine (1) of the vehicle is increased with increased depression of the gas pedal. A gearbox (2) of the vehicle is disconnected (13) from the vehicle's engine (1) when the gear selector is detected to have been moved to the reverse driving direction position. A change (15) in the gearbox is effected from the current gear position to a position that indicates the selected gear for driving in the reverse direction after disconnection (13) of the vehicle's gearbox (2) from the vehicle's engine (1).

    摘要: A vehicle auxiliary braking system is provided to accomplish a braking effect similar to engine braking inexpensively, to extend the life of the brakes, and to reduce the work cycle time in order to improve work efficiency. The system has a centrifugal sensor 20, an accelerator sensor 21, and a braking clutch engaging means that includes a braking hydraulic circuit 22. The centrifugal sensor 20 detects that the vehicle is traveling when the vehicle is moving at or above a prescribed speed. Accelerator sensor 21 detects when the depression amount of the accelerator pedal 6 is at or below a prescribed amount. The braking clutch engaging means engages the clutch that corresponds to the opposite travel direction when the vehicle is traveling at or above the prescribed speed and the accelerator depression amount is at or below the prescribed depression amount.

The accelerator pedal assembly includes a housing, an elongated pedal arm terminating at one end in a rotatable drum defining a curved braking surface, a brake pad having a curved contact surface substantially complementary to the braking surface and a bias spring device operably situated between the pedal arm and the brake pad. The pedal arm is rotatably mounted to the housing such that the curved braking surface rotates as the pedal moves. The brake pad defines a primary pivot axis and is pivotably mounted for frictional engagement with the braking surface. The bias spring serves to urge the contact surface of the brake pad into frictional engagement with the braking surface of the drum.

The magnetic field around the linear IC is changed when position of the magnets relative to the linear IC is adjusted with the user's hand turning the rotary handle, and in turn, electric currents passing through the linear IC is changed. A control device, to which the linear IC is electrically connected, will control electric power supplied from a storage battery to a motor accordingly, thus controlling speed of the motor.

A cam surface (68) on the plunger (50) then engages the force transmitting member (52) to continue to prevent movement of the vehicle shift lever (10) out of the park position. At this time, the plunger (50) engages a stop member (60). Upon actuation of the vehicle brake (44), a stopper hold coil (26) is de-energized and force applied against the cam surface (68) on the plunger by the force transmitting member (52) is effective to move the plunger (50) to the fully retracted position to enable the force transmitting member (52) to move to a release position.
