    摘要: An engine control method generally applicable to those control systems of the engine such as an ignition system, fuel injection system, etc., which are controlled to optimum operation in accordance with the engine operating conditions. In this method, an operation starting timing and an operation ending timing of the control system, e.g., in the case of the ignition system, an ignition coil energization starting timing and an ignition timing (an energization ending timing) are computed at each of predetermined computing cycles, and the latest computed ignition timing, for example, which is computed after the coil energization has been started further taking into consideration of the actual coil energization timing and a minimum required energization period is compared with an ignition timing computed in the preceding computing cycle, and a corrective computation of the latest computed ignition timing is carried out depending on the result of the comparison to obtain an optimum ignition timing. Also the history of the ON-OFF state of a bleed valve in an engine air supply system is monitored. The actual duty cycle of the valve is compared with a desired duty cycle to determine whether or not to open the valve for a succeeding time period.

The carburetor may also include a valve member translatable across an axis of the bore, such that in a closed state, the valve member closes the main passage but maintains the venturi at least partially open. The carburetor may also include a needle valve disposed at an end of the fuel nozzle substantially opposite of the fuel nozzle outlet to variably control flow of fuel into a fuel nozzle inlet, and a needle valve transmission may be coupled between a throttle shaft and the needle valve to convert rotation of the throttle shaft to translation of the needle valve.

    摘要: A carburetor, adapted to supply a lean air-fuel mixture to the main chamber and a rich air-fuel mixture to the auxiliary chamber of a stratified charge internal combustion engine, has an auxiliary induction passage formed as a cylindrical bore. The auxiliary induction passage receives air from the main induction passage through a lateral inlet port. A throttle in the auxiliary induction passage is formed as a hollow cylinder conforming to the cylindrical bore and is axially reciprocable past the port to control flow therethrough. Fuel is introduced into the transfer passage in accordance with air flow therethrough, and idle fuel is introduced directly into the cylindrical bore.
