Each of the parallel program recorded region and the connecting region includes track turns having vertical blanking parts recorded with vertical blanking periods of video signals, and at least one of the vertical blanking parts in each track turn is recorded with an address signal including a first code indicating whether an information program recorded in a track turn of a region is a single information program or a parallel information program, a second code indicating whether the region is the parallel program recorded region or the connecting region, a fourth code indicating the number of information programs recorded in the region, and a fifth code indicating the program number of the program recorded in the region. A reproducing apparatus includes a reproducing element for reproducing information signals from the disc, and the reproducing element is kicked within the vertical blanking part based on the value of the reproduced fourth code during a normal reproduction of a parallel information program.

A tracking servo circuit corrects for closed loop gain variations due to wear of the disc, the width of the electrode of the reproducing stylus, etc. The disc contains an information track bounded by servo tracks used to derive a tracking error signal. This tracking error signal is supplied to an AGC circuit after being filtered and detected. The gain of the AGC circuit decreases as the voltage level of the tracking error signal increases. The tracking error is also supplied to an electric-mechanical conversion system after an oscillatory signal of constant frequency and amplitude is added to it. The oscillator signal is used to stabilize the gain of the servo loop. The electric-mechanical conversion system corrects the position of the stylus in response to these signals.

A horizontal scanning frequency multiplying circuit comprises a flip-flop supplied with a horizontal synchronizing signal having a horizontal scanning frequency f.sub.H, which is set by this horizontal synchronizing signal, a phase-locked-loop, and a counter. A rotary recording medium reproducing apparatus reproduces a recorded signal from a rotary recording medium by use of a reproducing element. The rotary recording medium is recorded with at least a first carrier signal which is modulated by an information signal having a synchronizing signal of a predetermined frequency.
