    摘要: The invention provides a power supply module and a charged particle beam device that are capable of reducing ripple noise. A high-voltage generation circuit 101 includes booster circuits CPa and CPb of two systems that are configured to be symmetrical to each other, and performs a boosting operation by using a capacitive element and a diode in the booster circuits CPa and CPb of the two systems. The high-voltage generation circuit is housed in a housing and a reference power supply voltage is applied thereto. A left electrode 102a is fixedly provided in the vicinity of one of the booster circuits CPa and CPb of the two systems in the housing, and a right electrode 102b is fixedly provided in the vicinity of the other of the booster circuits CPa and CPb of the two systems in the housing. A stray capacitance adjustment circuit 100a adjusts capacitance values of stray capacitances of the booster circuits CPa and CPb of the two systems by electrically controlling an electrical connection characteristic between the left electrode 102a and the reference power supply voltage 104 and an electrical connection characteristic between the right electrode 102b and the reference power supply voltage 104.

The second plate includes a grid that defines a plurality of apertures each having a first dimension extending in a first direction and a second dimension orthogonal to the first dimension, the first and second dimensions lying in the second plane and the second dimension begin larger than the first dimension. The first and second plates are positioned in the Time-of-Flight mass analyzer to receive, during operation of the mass analyzer, an ion beam propagating in the first direction in a region between the first and second plates, and the orthogonal pulse accelerator directs ions in the ion beam through the apertures.

    摘要: A borehole logging tool includes a particle accelerator including a Cockcroft-Walton voltage multiplier that provides linear axial and radial fields. The Cockcroft-Walton voltage multiplier includes capacitors that are arranged radially relative to one another, such that a linear voltage increase occurs between the capacitors. The particle accelerator is made by placing conductive foils on an insulating sheet, connecting the foils as a Cockcroft-Walton voltage multiplier, and rolling the insulating sheet with the foils into a cylinder to form the radially arranged capacitors.

    摘要: Apparatus and method for generating high intensity electrostatic fields for accelerating an electron beam. At least one thin dielectric film is charged on opposite faces thereof with charges of a like polarity. A near-relativistic beam is directed at the charged dielectric film in an area where the electrostatic field created by the surface charges is the greatest. The near relativistic electron beam is radially accelerated by the electrostatic field, generating free electron laser radiation. Electrostatic fields of different polarities or directions are utilized to accelerate the near relativistic electron beam in opposite directions. The radiation generated from each electrostatic field beam interaction is cumulative. Means are provided for charging the dielectric films with the surface charge of the same polarity to generate each electrostatic field.
