摘要: A three-tandem (3T) perovskite/silicon (PVT)-based tandem solar cell (TSC) includes an antireflection coating (ARC), a first transparent conductive oxide layer (TCO), a hole transport layer (HTL), a perovskite (PVT) layer, a second transparent conductive oxide layer (TCO), an electron transport layer (ETL), a plurality of buried contacts, a p-type Si layer, a p-type wafer-based homo-junction silicon solar cell, a n+ silicon layer, a back contact layer. The solar cell further includes a top sub-cell, a bottom sub-cell and a middle contact-based tandem. The top sub-cell includes the PVT layer. The bottom sub-cell includes the silicon solar cell. The middle contact-based tandem includes the second TCO layer to be used as the middle contact-based tandem, as well as a recombination layer for current collection. Further, a conduction and a valence band edge are employed at a front surface of the ETL.

摘要: A solar cell and a method of forming the same are provided. The solar cell includes a substrate, and a plurality of unit cells each including a first electrode, an active layer, and a second electrode. The unit cells are spaced from one another to expose the substrate. Accordingly, using an insulating structure or non-power generation area where the unit cells are spaced from one another such that the substrate is exposed, it is possible to minimize leakage current, and to increase power generation efficiency.

In one embodiment, an organic semiconductor device comprises: a first contact layer comprising a first sputter-deposited transparent conducting oxide; an electron transport layer interfacing with the first contact layer; a second contact layer comprising a second sputter-deposited transparent conducting oxide; a hole transport layer interfacing with the second contact layer; and an organic semiconductor active layer having a first side facing the electron transport layer and an opposing second side facing the hole transport layer; wherein either the electron transport layer or the hole transport layer comprises a buffering transport layer.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a device that includes a first metal oxide layer having a first thickness, a second metal oxide layer having a second thickness, and a base layer having a third thickness, where the first metal oxide layer is positioned between the base layer and the second metal oxide layer, at least one of the base layer and/or the first metal oxide layer includes a carbon-containing material, and at least one of a carbon concentration gradient and/or an oxygen concentration gradient is present across at least one of a portion of the first thickness and/or a portion of the third thickness. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the first metal oxide layer may be permeable to an oxygen-containing compound. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the oxygen-containing compound may include at least one of O3, N2O, and/or H2O2.

摘要: A solar cell structure is disclosed that includes a first metal layer, formed over predefined portions of a sun-exposed major surface of a semiconductor structure, that form electrical gridlines of the solar cell; a network of carbon nanotubes formed over the first metal layer; and a second metal layer formed onto the network of carbon nanotubes, wherein the second metal layer infiltrates the network of carbon nanotubes to connect with the first metal layer to form a first metal matrix composite comprising a metal matrix and a carbon nanotube reinforcement, wherein the second metal layer is an electrically conductive layer in which the carbon nanotube reinforcement is embedded in and bonded to the metal matrix, and the first metal matrix composite provides enhanced mechanical support as well as enhanced or equal electrical conductivity for the electrical contacts against applied mechanical stressors to the electrical contacts.
