    摘要： A foam earplug for reception at least partially within the ear canal and including a body portion formed of resilient foam plastic material having a multiple open cell structure and having a size and shape for at least partial reception within the ear canal. A transdermal material having a particular beneficial action, and with an outer layer of the foam earplug infused with the transdermal material so that the benefits of the transdermal material is in transdermal contact with the ear canal. One example is a humectant material and, specifically, a moisturizer/lubricating material, for providing an increase to the lubrication and moisturizing in the ear canal. A second example is where the beneficial action is provided by systemic distribution such as a sleep aid, i.e., Melatonin, so that when the earplugs are worn during sleep, the earplugs will provide a sleep aid to the wearer.

    摘要： A portable applicator for uniformly applying insect repellent or sunscreen upon human skin. A jar-like container normally holds the liquid contents. The container is sealed by a circular lid. The lid supports a downwardly-projecting sponge wiper that is saturated with liquid for subsequent topical application. The underside of the lid has a glue area surrounded by a peripheral ring for securing the wiper, and channels for directing fluid. A wringer-saturator, in the form of a foraminous partition, is disposed between the applicator contents and the wiper. When the applicator is closed, the wiper is compressed slightly by contact with the wringer-saturator. As the lid is removed from the container, the wiper will expand slightly, absorbing and holding liquid. When the lid is reattached, the wiper is compressed slightly against the wringer-saturator and liquid is partially expelled. The wiper has a fiberglass fabric covering for preventing dripping and easing topical application.

    摘要： Disclosed herein are devices, systems, and methods for applying and/or delivering topical compounds (e.g., topical medications) to the surface of mammalian tissue (e.g., skin, mucous membranes, and/or other tissue surfaces). Specifically, disclosed embodiments include a device that is configured to connect to one or more types of known syringes, and, in particular, to one or more types of known syringe tips. At least one embodiment of the device comprises a cap and a membrane, where the cap includes an open connector end for engaging and/or attaching to a syringe via a syringe tip, a delivery end opposite to the connector end, and a cap body disposed between, and connecting, the connector end and the delivery end. The delivery end can further be connected to the membrane by, for instance, inserting one end of the membrane into the delivery end.
