    摘要: A comminutor reduces the size of particles of frangible blast media from each particle's respective initial size to a size smaller than a desired maximum size. The frangible blast media may be entrained in a flow of transport gas. The comminutor includes an inlet and an outlet, both in fluid communication with an internal flow passageway. The internal flow passageway includes a first intermediate passageway which comprise the gap defined by two rotating rollers and a second intermediate passageway which includes an inlet disposed proximal the gap, extending in an upstream direction therefrom.

    摘要: A device for reducing the size of dry ice granules for dry ice cleaning devices including a supply of dry ice to a device for mixing of dry ice particles with the flow of gaseous medium. The device includes a die with a set of orifices for granulate passing and a granulate pushing-through member for pushing the granulate into the die. The die is placed in a body with at least one sloped surface inclining to the inside of the body towards the die, which, the body, is connectable to a supply of dry ice granulate to a device for mixing of dry ice particles with the flow of gaseous medium in a dry ice cleaning device, where above the die a granulate pushing-through member is movably mounted. The pushing-through member includes at least one surface facing the die, where this surface forms an acute angle with the die surface, and the orifices of the die at the side of the pushing-through member are provided with a recess or shape modification of the edge of the orifice increasing the roughness of the surface of the die relative to the roughness of the surface of the pushing-through member.

The welding machine allows free ends of bar conductors of a stator of an electrical machine to be welded while at the same time the stator is protected against contamination.

    摘要: A cleaning system that utilizes a dispensing head to spray carbon dioxide and a propellant against a surface. The carbon dioxide being propelled includes solid phase crystals. A supply line is used to feed the carbon dioxide to a dispensing head. Within the dispensing head, a first manifold chamber receives the carbon dioxide. A plurality of pathways link the first manifold chamber to a plurality of output nozzles. Each of the pathways contains an internal configuration that induces a formation of solid phase carbon dioxide crystals as the carbon dioxide from the supply line flows through the pathways toward the output nozzles. The propellant enters the dispensing head and flows into a second manifold chamber. The second manifold chamber has an exit opening near, or at, the output nozzles. As carbon dioxide, in both gas and solid phase, exits the output nozzles, it is accelerated by the propellant.

    摘要: Systems and methods suitable for shaping and cutting materials. Such a system includes first and second carriage units that are independently operable to travel in a travel direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of a table supporting the material. The first and second carriage units have first and second arms, respectively. A cutting device coupled to the first arm forms a slit in the material, and a deburring device coupled to the second arm forcibly removes burrs from the slit. The deburring device is behind the cutting device relative to the travel direction and forcibly removes burrs in the travel direction toward a breakthrough point of the slit. The second carriage unit oscillates parallel to the travel direction so that the deburring device moves toward and away from the breakthrough point of the slit to remove burrs at the breakthrough point.

    摘要: Methods of cleaning flow path components of power systems, and sump purge kits used in the same or related methods are disclosed. A method of cleaning may include removing a casing of the turbine system to expose a rotor of the turbine system, a plurality of flow path components coupled to the rotor and/or the casing, and a sump system in communication with the rotor. The method may also include pressurizing the sump system in communication with the rotor, and sealing a plurality of openings formed in the rotor. Additionally, the method may include exposing the rotor and the plurality of flow path components to steam to dry hydrocarbons formed on a surface of the rotor and a surface of the plurality of flow path components, and blasting the rotor and the plurality of flow path components with solid carbon dioxide (CO2) to dislodge the dried hydrocarbons.

    摘要: Reduced noise abrasive blasting assemblies and systems are described. The new assemblies and systems are comprised of standard blast hose, accelerator hose, couplings and nozzle. The improved abrasive blasting system maintains abrasive particle velocity while decreasing the exit gas velocity and consequently decreasing sound production. This is accomplished through an acceleration section with reduced inner diameter and sufficient length to provide the necessary abrasive particle velocity. The new system maintains the productivity and efficiency of conventional abrasive blasting systems but with greatly reduced acoustic noise production and reduces operator fatigue due to the lower weight of the carried portion of the system.
