    Abstract: A powder injection molding apparatus including an injection unit, mold formed of two mold parts with parting surface between first and second mold part, enclosing in assembled state of mold a mold cavity fluidically connected with injection unit via transfer channel, vibrational energy generator and transducer, and clamping unit designed to retain under the effect of clamping force first and second mold parts in contact with each other. Apparatus is characterized in that first and second mold parts include a first and second retaining hole, respectively, each extending essentially perpendicularly to parting surface and arranged opposite to each other respective to parting surface, clamping unit includes first and second pin each extending essentially perpendicularly to parting surface, wherein first and second pins cooperate in assembled state of mold with retaining portion of first and second retaining holes, respectively, to retain first and second mold parts in contact with each other.

    Abstract: An arrow head cluster is created utilizing an injection mold. An upper cluster cavity is formed in an upper die member and a lower cluster cavity is created in a lower die member. The upper and lower cluster cavities, when joined create a cluster cavity. The cluster cavity is used to create the arrow head cluster, after molten material is injected into the injection mold. The cluster cavity includes a plurality of chambers for creating a plurality of arrow heads. The plurality of chambers are connected to each other with a plurality of flow channels and a support frame. The injected material includes metals, ceramic and plastic. The materials are injected into the cluster cavity through the plurality of flow channels. The plurality of flow channels allow the material to flow evenly through the plurality of cluster cavities.

    Abstract: A method for preparing a carbon/boron carbide composite material includes the following steps (A) providing a carbon compound, a carbon fiber, a boron compound and a binder to perform a pretreatment mixing procedure to form a precursor; (B) putting the precursor into a spray granulator for performing a granulation process and mixing the precursor to form an injection material with a uniform composition; (C) feeding the injection material into an injection molding machine for performing a compression molding process, thereby forming a carbon compound/boron compound green body; and (D) subjecting the carbon compound/boron compound green body to a two-stage heat treatment process to obtain the carbon/boron carbide composite material.
