    摘要： A method for laying down a continuous, predetermined pattern of granular material upon a moving substrate includes moving the substrate past at least two stations, each station including a rotating drum with a drum wall defining a limited retention region under vacuum, and a plurality of through-apertures arranged in an element of the desired pattern. Granular material applied to the surface of the drum is held by vacuum in the desired pattern. After removal of excess granular material, the vacuum is discontinued causing the granular material to disengage from the drum surface and pass, by force of gravity, onto the surface of the substrate in the form of the predetermined element of the desired predetermined pattern. An apparatus for laying down a continuous, predetermined pattern of granular material upon a moving substrate is also described.

    摘要： A process and article for producing finished artwork based on a previously completed professional rendering of the same image. The process uses the placement and temporary adhesion of the article an imprinted, transparent film, to a substrate work surface upon which a finished image will be applied in stages. Sections of the film are serially removed by cutting them along outlines imprinted on the film; pigment is applied to the exposed areas of the substrate; the cut sections are replaced, and new sections of film are cut and removed for the application of other pigment. The serial removal and replacement of cut film sections is performed according to an order indicated in the imprinting of the film.

    摘要： An embodiment of the present invention is an art and craft product is made using colored adhesives. The method of making the product comprises using a plurality of at least partially transparent squeeze bottles, each containing a different color of a non-toxic water and soap washable and removable adhesive which dries at room temperture to a hardened stable substance of the same color. A substantially continuous film of the colored adhesive is dispensed from one or more of the squeeze bottles and applied to individual structural parts of a visible scene in an art and craft object so that the adhesive being dispensed both forms a colored portion of the scene and bonds together the structural parts forming the visible scene. Contained in and visible through the bottle in the unit is a quantity of non-toxic, water and soap washable and removable colored adhesive, that is curable to a hardened colored state at room temperature. Included in the unit is a tube for dispensing the colored adhesive from the bottle.

    摘要： A template of translucent material is employed to simulate on a reduced scale the over-lay material to be applied to a floor area as it is illustrated by a drawing on the same scale as the template. The template is supplied in roll form or sheet material and is of a width proportionate on the aforesaid scale, to the width of the over-lay material to be applied to the floor. In order to realize all of the advantages of the invention, this template also carries indicia indicative of the subdivisions of the scale to which it is made and orientation indicia which may conveniently be so spaced as to serve as scaling indicia as well. The under side of the template carries an adhesive of the type known as a repositioning adhesive by means of which the template may be removably adhered to the drawing of the floor area and repositioned thereon at will.
