    摘要: A system for converting an ABDW-type control valve to an ABDX-type control valve for use in a braking mechanism for a railway vehicle includes an ABDW-type control valve body in communication with an air supply system of the braking mechanism for controlling an application and release of brakes in response to changes in air pressure within the braking mechanism. A breather plate is mounted on an accelerated application valve interface on the control valve body. The breather plate has an internal stability volume for compensating a function of an accelerated application valve. A modified slide valve bushing is mounted inside the control valve body for establishing fluid communication with at least one passageway within the control valve body. At least one plug mounted is to at least one air passageway within the control valve body for sealing or choking the at least one air passageway.

The spring element is configured to form at least one contact point with the armature end face and the core end face. The core end face defines a stepped configuration in a radial extent having at least two successive steps.

    摘要: A brake cylinder maintaining valve may include spool valves or poppet valves. When the pressure in the brake cylinder drops below its original set pressure, such a maintaining valve may feed brake pipe (BP) pressure through a choke to replenish and maintain brake cylinder (BC) pressure up to a certain point. If the leak is too great (to the extent it exceeds the capacity of the choke), the brake cylinder will not be maintained. Such a maintaining valve may be either integrated into the control valve, or it may be mounted remotely to the brake system. If mounted remotely, it may be connected by multiple ways, including through a conventional 4-port access plate.

A compressor (4) driven by an engine (3) of a vehicle and supplying compressed air to loads (51-54) is controlled by an ECU (2). A loaded state and an unloaded state of the compressor (4) are switched between each other according to the requirements from the loads (51-54). When the vehicle requires braking force, the compressor (4) is set to the loaded state irrespective of the requirements from the loads (51-54).

    摘要: A fluid-operated brake actuator having a hollow actuator rod between a spring chamber of a spring brake housing and a spring chamber of a service brake housing incorporates a valve within the actuator rod. The valve isolates the two spring chambers from each other in normal operation and releases a vacuum in the spring brake housing spring chamber when the spring brake is activated. A separate one-way check valve mounted in a well of the spring brake housing permits fluid to exhaust from the spring chamber to atmosphere and prevents contaminants in the atmosphere from entering the spring chamber.

    摘要: A drive unit includes a hydrodynamic retarder having a rotor paddle wheel, a stator paddle wheel, and a housing surrounding the rotor and stator wheels. The unit includes a coolant cycle system for an internal combustion engine, the coolant for this coolant cycle also being a working medium of the retarder. The drive unit further includes a working medium container for the coolant. A first pipe connects a hydrodynamic center of the retarder to a valve. A second, leakage pipe is disposed between a working medium outlet of the retarder and the valve. A third pipe is disposed between the valve and the working medium container. The valve is designed such that in a first position, a conducting connection is established between the working medium container and the leakage pipe to provide for a pumping operation of the retarder. When the valve is in a second position, a conducting connection is established between the working medium container and the first pipe for a braking operation of the retarder.
