摘要: A reactive antibacterial compound and a preparation method thereof are provided herein. The reactive antibacterial compound is represented by the general formula (I) or (II): wherein R1 represents OCN-L-NHCOOR′, OCN-L-NHCONHR′, OCN-L-NHCOSR′, OCN-L-COOR′, or OCN-L-COONHR′. G1 represents OCN-M-NHCOOG′, OCN-M-NHCONHG′, OCN-M-NHCOSG′, OCN-M-COOG′, or OCN-M-COONHG′. L, M, R′ and G′ independently for each occurrence represent divalent alkyl and cycloalkyl having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, optionally substituted by up to 18 heteroatoms. R4 and G4 independently for each occurrence represent a divalent alkyl and cycloalkyl having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, optionally substituted by at most 18 heteroatoms. G2 and G3 independently for each occurrence represent —H, —F, —Cl, —Br, —I, —OCH3, —OCH2CH3, —OPr, —CN, —SCN, —NO, —NO2, a monovalent unsubstituted or substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, or aryl having from 1 to 7 carbon atoms. Z and X independently for each occurrence represent —COO, —SO3, or —OPO2OR5. R5 represents a monovalent unsubstituted or substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, or aryl having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms.

摘要: According to the present disclosure, a resin product is brought into contact with a treatment liquid containing an antibacterial antifungal compound (A) of a quaternary ammonium salt compound having a molecular weight of not greater than 1500 and, in this state, heat-treated under a normal atmospheric pressure or under an increased pressure, whereby the antibacterial antifungal compound (A) is immobilized on at least a surface of the resin product. Thus, an excellent antibacterial/antifungal finished product having water resistance and laundry durability is provided.

摘要: Certain embodiments described herein are directed to wipes and coating materials that can be used to provide an oleophobic surface coating on one or more surfaces of an article. In some examples, the wipe may retain the coating material and can transfer at least some of the coating material to a surface where it can be heat cured to provide the oleophobic coating. In some instances, the wipe can provide an oleophobic surface coating with easy-to-clean performance for at least one cycle and up to ten cycles.

摘要: The present invention provides a fiber sizing agent composition containing a polyester resin (A) and a reactive compound (B), wherein the polyester resin (A) is a polyester resin having an HLB of 4 to 18 and a viscosity at 30° C. of 10 to 1,000,000 Pa·s, the reactive compound (B) is at least one reactive compound selected from the group consisting of blocked isocyanates, tertiary amines, tertiary amine salts, quaternary ammonium salts, quaternary phosphonium salts, and phosphine compounds, and the weight ratio of the polyester resin (A) to the reactive compound (B) [(A)/(B)] in the fiber sizing agent composition is 99.9/0.1 to 10/90.

摘要: Functionalizing a fibrous material having a plurality of hydroxyl groups includes reacting the fibrous material with a compound of Formula I: where X is a monovalent counteranion for the quaternary ammonium cation of Formula I and Hal is a halogen atom, to obtain the functionalized fibrous material. Also provided is a functionalized fibrous material prepared by any one of the methods described herein (e.g., a functionalized fiber including a moiety of Formula II: having an odor of free amine below the threshold of detection, or having an odor of free amine with degree of offensiveness of about 3 or less. The functionalized fibrous material may be dyed, and articles of clothing may be made from the dyed functionalized fibrous material.

摘要: This application is directed to methods of making a binder. In one embodiment, the method comprises mixing guar gum with water at a temperature greater than 145° F. A guar gum-water mixture is formed and then cooled to approximately 135-145° F. Ammonium sulfate and water are mixed with the guar gum-water mixture to form an ammonium sulfate-guar gum-water mixture. Urea is then mixed with the ammonium sulfate-guar gum-water mixture, forming a urea-ammonium sulfate-guar gum-water mixture. Water and methyl acryloid are added to the urea-ammonium sulfate-guar gum-water mixture to form the binder.
