    摘要: Disclosed is a method for monitoring a fuel injector, the injector including a piezoelectric actuator controlling a valve unit to open or close the injector, the fuel injector including an actuator play. The method includes: measuring a plurality of compensation times of the actuator play during a simulation step preceding an injection for a given plurality of fuel pressures; calculating a parameter representing the current actuator play per the measured compensation times; comparing the parameter representing the calculated current actuator play with a predetermined reference parameter of the actuator play; and transmitting a warning message if the reference parameter is exceeded; the parameter representative of the current actuator play being calculated on the basis of a polynomial function of the measured compensation times. The polynomial order of the polynomial function corresponding to the number of measured compensation times of the actuator play for different fuel pressures.

    摘要: Start of fuel delivery for a fuel-injected engine having separate unit injectors is adjusted by effecting a positional adjustment of camshaft lobes on a camshaft. The camshaft is used to operate the unit injectors, as well as control exhaust valve operations. By separately controlling the position of the cam lobes which operate the unit fuel injectors, a change it start of fuel delivery is effected. A change in relative position of the cam lobes is accomplished by shifting a guide rod within a hollow body of the camshaft. The change in position of the guide rod, in turn, effects a change in position of the cam lobes which are connected to the guide rod.

    摘要: In a governor device of a diesel engine, a control rack of a fuel injection pump is adapted to be controllably actuated by a balance between a governor spring and an engine revolution speed responsive means. A speed control member is adapted to be manipulated for adjusting a tension force of the governor spring. A fuel limiting actuation member serves to prevent an excessive fuel flow from being injected when the speed control member is manipulated for a quick acceleration. A quick acceleration state detecting means serves to detect a quickly accelerated state of the engine so as to selectively change over the fuel limiting actuation member to a fuel limiting position and to a fuel limitation cancelling position depending on the lapse of time.

    摘要: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines that has a pump interior and a final control element chamber, separated from it, the latter having an electric final control element for actuating a quantity adjusting device that determines a fuel injection quantity, parts of the final control element from which a control variable for the injection quantity is derived and which thereby serves as a material measure, are to be protected from the influence of fuel. By means of a jet pump through which a permanent propulsive flow flows and which is part of a flow conduit, the static pressure at the intake bore of the jet pump that communicates with the final control element chamber is lowered, and this negative pressure is utilized for evacuating the fuel entering the final control element chamber in the form of a leakage flow along the bearing of a control shaft. This arrangement is particularly suitable for high-pressure injection in Diesel engines, to attain highly accurate fuel metering that is stable over a long period of time.
