摘要: Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed to generate synthetic respondent level data. Example apparatus disclosed herein include means for generating a synthetic panel corresponding to a duration of time, the means for generating the synthetic panel to: generate a transition matrix corresponding to a first sub-duration of the duration of time and a second sub-duration of the duration of time; generate, based on the transition matrix, a plurality of synthetic panelists and associated viewing data; remove first ones of the synthetic panelists associated with one or more weights that do not satisfy a threshold to generate the synthetic panel corresponding to the duration of time, the synthetic panel representative of audiences of media presented by a plurality of media devices during the duration of time; and generate synthetic respondent level data based on the viewing data associated with remaining second ones of the synthetic panelists.

Example television audience measurement systems disclosed herein include a flexible commercial detector to detect whether a first watermark decoded from a television program broadcast signal is a bridge watermark that indicates a portion of the television broadcast signal including the bridge watermark is associated with a flexible commercial insertion event, the flexible commercial insertion event corresponding to insertion of a flexible commercial in the portion of the television broadcast signal. Disclosed example television audience measurement systems also include a commercial metric calculator to credit audience exposure associated with the portion of the television broadcast signal to a flexible commercial crediting metric in response to a determination that the first watermark is the bridge watermark.

摘要: Methods and apparatus to perform audio watermarking and watermark detection and extraction are disclosed. Example apparatus disclosed herein are to select frequency components to be used to represent a code, different sets of frequency components to represent respectively different information, respective ones of the frequency components in the sets of frequency components located in respective code bands, there being multiple code bands and spacing between adjacent code bands being equal to or less than the spacing between adjacent frequency components in the code bands. Disclosed example apparatus are also to synthesize the frequency components to be used to represent the code, combine the synthesized frequency components with an audio block of an audio signal, and output the audio signal and a video signal associated with the audio signal.

An example method includes accessing, at a first monitoring device and a second monitoring device, first timing data produced by an external source, the first monitoring device located remotely from the second monitoring device. The example method additionally includes adjusting second timing data generated by the first monitoring device based on the first timing data and adjusting third timing data generated by the second monitoring device based on the first timing data. The example method also includes accessing, at a processing facility, the first timing data and adjusting fourth timing data generated by the processing facility based on the first timing data.

摘要: A utility sensor module includes one or more sensors, a communication link, and an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to broadcast an advertisement signal associated with a communication protocol for a first transmission time. The advertisement signal is configured to cause an external device to transmit a response message. The electronic processor is further configured to determine whether the response message is received within a predetermined time period, and in response to determining that the response message was not received within the predetermined time period, operating in a modified sleep mode. Operating in the modified sleep mode includes modifying the operation of the communication interface to broadcast the advertisement signal at a periodic interval, such that the advertisement signal is only broadcast at the periodic interval for a second transmission time.

摘要: The present technology relates to a transmission apparatus, a transmission method, a reception apparatus, and a reception method that make it possible to detect a watermark more easily. The transmission apparatus includes a generation section and a transmission section. The generation section generates watermark information for detecting a watermark. The transmission section transmits a broadcast signal including the watermark and the watermark information. When the transmission apparatus is provided, it enables the reception apparatus at a receiving end to detect the watermark more easily. The present technology is applicable, for example, to a transmission system including the transmission apparatus and the reception apparatus.

摘要: Methods, apparatus, and machine-readable storage media to monitor media presentations are disclosed. A disclosed example apparatus includes a locator to compare a location of a mobile device with a set of reference locations at which audio monitoring is to be performed. The disclosed example apparatus further includes an audio receiver to enable a microphone of the mobile device to collect audio for media monitoring when (1) the location of the mobile device corresponds to a first one of the reference locations and (2) a media presentation monitor at the first one of the reference locations indicates a likelihood of media being presented at the first location satisfies a threshold. In some disclosed examples, the audio receiver of the example apparatus is to disable the microphone from collecting audio for media monitoring when the location of the mobile device does not correspond to any of the reference locations.

摘要: Example methods disclosed herein include accessing a query requesting a metric associated with a number of unique members of an audience of media over an aggregate monitoring interval corresponding to a plurality of component monitoring intervals. Disclosed example methods also include determining respective aggregate interval probability distributions modeling likelihoods of respective monitored individuals being exposed to the media during the aggregate monitoring interval, a first one of the aggregate interval probability distributions for a first one of the monitored individuals being determined by combining parameters of respective component interval probability distributions modeling likelihoods of the first one of the monitored individuals being exposed to the media during respective ones of the component monitoring intervals. Disclosed example methods further include evaluating an audience-level probability distribution determined from the aggregate interval probability distributions to determine the metric to transmit to the computing device in response to the query.
