Abstract: A centrifugal clutch includes a monoblock inner rotor having a plurality of integral centrifugal weights defined by cuts in the monoblock inner rotor. Each of the plurality of centrifugal weights is connected to a central portion of the monoblock inner rotor by a connecting bridge. The plurality of integral centrifugal weights are pre-tensioned by compression towards the central portion of the monoblock inner rotor. A method of making the centrifugal clutch is also disclosed.

Abstract: An internal combustion engine has a cylinder head assembly having at least one intake valve and at least one exhaust valve, a pair of camshafts, cams disposed on the camshafts, and a pair of cam follower. Camfollowers have a first end journaled on one of the camfollower shafts and a second end abutting an end of one of the at least one intake valve and the at least one exhaust valve. Spring bias the valves toward a closed position. A spark plug is also disposed in the cylinder head. A cylinder head assembly and a lubrication systemofthe cylinder head assembly are also disclosed.

Abstract: A four stroke internal combustion engine having a flexible arrangement is disclosed such that the engine can be easily configured for supercharged or normally aspirated operation. The engine includes a cooling system that includes both closed loop and open loop cooling systems for improved cooling efficiency. A power take off housing located on one end of the crankcase. Various engine components are operatively coupled to the crankshaft within the power take off housing including a cam shaft for a valve actuation assembly, a generator, an engine starting mechanism, a balance shaft, and a supercharger. The engine contemplated in accordance with the present invention also includes a dry sump lubrication system having lubricant separator for separating lubricant from blow-by gas within the engine.
