The present invention provides a design method and apparatus for a handle or grip providing a shape and structure that fills various regions of the hand except a region in an area over the underlying carpal tunnel. Such design method and apparatus provides for various supports and handles for use by a hand. In particular, the apparatus includes a generally boot-shaped body or portions thereof. The body or body portions include a radial section, an ulnar section and middle section. Furthermore the body has a distal (frontal) finger side, proximal (back) side, palmar side and a thumb side. The body also has radial and ulnar sides. These portions are shaped to engage the various corresponding regions of the inner surface of the hand. These sections and sides forming the body can be divided and used separately for individual applications of the present invention.

Wünschenswert wäre eine intuitive Bedienmöglichkeit und ein möglichst flexibles Einstellen der Bremskraft. Offenbart wird eine Feststelleinrichtung (20) zum stufenlosen Einstellen eines Bremshebels, insbesondere an Handbremshebelarmaturen, speziell an Lenkstangen, wobei eine Druckbrücke (1) in der Art eines einseitig gelagerten Hebels und eine Kurvenscheibe (2) geometrisch miteinander korrespondierend jeweils derart am Bremshebel (5) drehbar lagerbar/gelagert sind, dass der Drehwinkel des Bremshebels (5) damit stufenlos feststellbar ist. Dies erleichtert das Festziehen und Halten in einer beliebigen gewünschten Position und auch das Lösen des Hebels. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner die Verwendung einer Wälzpaarung mit Sperrgetriebefunktion bei einer solchen Feststelleinrichtung.

A vehicle control system especially for road vehicles includes telescopically connected shaft (1 and 4). The shaft (1) is connected rigidly to a steering wheel (56) and is held in a steering column (9) for rotational and axial movement. The end of the shaft (1) remote from the steering wheel (56) is connected to the shaft (4) through torque transmitting devices (3). The connection allows relative axial movement between the two shafts. The remote end of the shaft (4) is connected to the vehicle steering system so that rotation of the steering wheel (56) steers the vehicle in the conventional way. The shaft (1) includes a cylindrical block (2) which engages the rod carrier (27) which in turn actuates the vehicle braking system when the steering wheel (56) is pushed forward and actuates the throttle when the wheel (56) is pulled backwards. There is an intermediate position of the wheel (56) in which neither the brake or throttle are actuated. The control system also includes a locking device (72) which prevents axial and rotational movement of the shaft (1) as well as locking the gear selection (51) in a PARK position.
