The present invention relates to novel microporous zirconium silicate compositions that are formulated to remove toxins, e.g. potassium ions, from the gastrointestinal tract at an elevated rate without causing undesirable side effects. The preferred formulations are designed avoid increase in pH of urine in patients and/or avoid potential entry of particles into the bloodstream of the patient. Also disclosed is a method for preparing high purity crystals of UZSi-9 exhibiting an enhanced level of potassium exchange capacity. These compositions are particularly useful in the therapeutic treatment of hyperkalemia.

Coprocessors include an application processing framework allowing access to device storage and optionally include additional memory busses and additional memory chips to reduce bus contention allowing coprocessors to achieve high throughput rates for inputting or outputting or processing device data. Coprocessors include software to access and process stored data without processing support from the host system interfacing to the device. Access to stored data is managed to prevent simultaneous access corruption when the data is being changed.

A mesostructured material is described that is composed of at least two elementary spherical particles, each of said particles comprising a mesostructured matrix based on aluminium oxide, said matrix having a pore diameter between 1.5 and 30 nm and an aluminium oxide content that represents more than 46% by weight relative to the weight of said matrix, which matrix has amorphous walls of thickness between 1 and 30 nm, said elementary spherical particles having a diameter D greater than 10 µm and less than or equal to 100 µm (10 100). Said mesostructured matrix may also contain silicon oxide. Each of the spherical particles of the mesostructured material may also contain zeolite nanocrystals so as to form a material having a mixed porosity of both mesostructured and zeolitic nature. The preparation of said material is also described.

A process is also described, starting from disilanes, for the preparation of these materials, which does not include the use of templates or surfactants. These materials can be used as molecular sieves, adsorbents, in the field of catalysis, in the field of electronics, in the field of sensors, in the field of nanotechnologies.

The invention relates to a material comprised of silicotitanates having a crystalline structure similar to MCM-41 zeolites, said material being characterized in that it contains in its lattice atoms of titanium and channels in its porous structure whose average sizes exceed 10 ANGSTROM , making possible its utilization in catalytic reactions wherein are involved large organic molecules, such as the oxidation of olefins to epoxides and glycols, alcohols to cetones, thio-ethers to sulfoxides and sulfones, and phenol to catechol and hydroquinone, and if Al is introduced into the structure it is then possible to prepair bifunctional catalysts "oxidant-acid/base". In order to obtain such product, an aqueous solution is used which contains the ion NR1R2R3R4 as well as another aqueous solution which contains tetramethyl amonium hydroxide and a silica source (e.g. aerosil3). After homogenization, more silica is added, as is the Ti source [e.g. Ti(C2OH5)4]. The resultant gel is heated in an autoclave at a temperature between 80 and 200 DEG C. The obtained gel is activated by roasting between 350 and 800 DEG C. It is used for catalytic oxidation.
