摘要: An endoscopic system may include an endoscope including a handle and an elongate shaft extending distally from the handle, wherein the handle includes an inflow port in fluid communication with the elongate shaft, the inflow port being configured to fluidly connect to a fluid inflow line, an electronically adjustable orifice associated with the inflow port, and control circuitry for receiving a signal of a current size of the electronically adjustable orifice and/or for sending a signal to change a size of the electronically adjustable orifice. The system may include a first pressure sensor disposed upstream of the electronically adjustable orifice and a second pressure sensor disposed downstream of the electronically adjustable orifice.

摘要: In one aspect, a method and system for detecting a change in fluid dynamics of a fluid flowing through an extra-corporeal circuit is disclosed, which includes establishing an acoustic wave resonance across a transverse dimension of at least a portion of a line associated with the extra-corporeal circuit through which the fluid flows, monitoring a phase signal of the resonant acoustic wave, and identifying occurrence of a change in fluid dynamics of the flowing fluid when the observed phase signal of the resonant acoustic wave indicates a deviation from the expected fluid flow signature. The change in fluid dynamics can be used to indicate a venous needle dislodgement event.

摘要: A dressing for an internal cavity may include a connector, a negative pressure pathway layer, an instillation pathway layer, a negative pressure manifold, and an instillation manifold. The negative pressure manifold can be disposed within the negative pressure pathway layer and the instillation manifold can be disposed within the instillation pathway layer. A proximate end of the negative pressure manifold can be fluidly coupled with a first channel of the connector. The proximate end of the instillation manifold can be fluidly coupled with a second channel of the connector. The negative pressure pathway layer and the instillation pathway layer can be configured to cooperatively form an inner volume therebetween. The inner volume may be configured to receive a space filler. The negative pressure pathway layer, the instillation pathway layer, and the space filler can be collectively configured to be positioned within the internal cavity.

摘要: Apparatus, systems and methods are described, such as for providing, or controlling mechanical ventilation provided to, a patient. A controller may control a gas delivery system to deliver gas to the patient according to a FiO2 setting and a PEEP setting. The controller may adjust the FiO2 setting to an updated FiO2 setting based at least in part on a determined oxygen concentration of the patient's blood and may update the PEEP setting based at least in part on the updated FiO2 setting. Furthermore, the controller may update the PEEP setting based at least in part on the updated FiO2 setting and the current PEEP setting. An updated PEEP setting may be based at least in part on PEEP change eligibility rules and PEEP selection rules. The FiO2 setting may be adjusted so as to relatively rapidly increase the FiO2 setting in response to a rapidly decreasing patient SpO2.

摘要: A system for preparing a medicament for use by a medicament user includes a proportioning machine with a controller and pumping and clamping actuators to engage a fluid circuit having pumping and clamping portions that engage with respective actuators of the proportioning machine. The fluid circuit includes a mixing container that is initially empty and later filled with two different concentrated medicaments from different concentrate containers and with purified water. The circuit may include one or more pre-connected fluid quality sensors, such as conductivity sensors, in fluid communication with the mixing container. A single sterilizing filter is fluidly connected to two different medicament concentrates and the concentrates pass through the sterilizing filter. The sterilizing filter is tested to ensure its integrity. Little or no mixed fluid is lost during conductivity testing and custom mini batches of medicament may be produced by varying the amount of the concentrates and water.
