Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for categorizing and/or characterizing a user interface. The systems and methods include generating acoustic data associated with an acoustic reflection of an acoustic signal, the acoustic reflection being indicative of, at least in part, one or more features of a user interface coupled to a respiratory therapy device via a conduit. The systems and methods further include analyzing the generated acoustic data. The systems and methods further include categorizing and/or characterizing the user interface based, at least in part, on the analyzed acoustic data.

Abstract: A disinfection device is configured to create a virucidal propylene glycol vapour to reduce encapsulated pathogen fomite transmission and also droplet nuclei transmission. The device includes (a) a liquid propylene glycol reservoir; (b) a heater or atomiser configured to heat or transform liquid propylene glycol into a vapour; (c) a power source or connection to an external power source, to power the heater or atomiser; (d) a control system to control the power source and the heater or atomiser. It also includes an authentication mechanism configured to automatically authenticate a source of liquid PG for use in the device.

Abstract: A user feedback system for a user of a delivery device within a delivery ecosystem comprises an estimation processor adapted to identify at least a first feedback action based upon one or more user factors, the at least first feedback action relating to an amount or nature of an active ingredient delivered by the delivery device, the feedback action being expected to alter a state of the user as indicated at least in part by the one or more user factors; and a feedback processor adapted to select at least a first identified feedback action, and to cause a modification of one or more operations of at least a first device within the delivery ecosystem, according to the or each selected feedback action.

Abstract: Provided is a system comprising a plurality of inhalers that each include a processor configured to determine a value of a usage parameter relating to use of the respective first inhaler, encrypt data based on the value, and transmit the encrypted data. At least two of the inhalers include different medicament, such as a rescue medicament and a maintenance medicament. The system includes an external device that includes a processor configured to distinguish between the encrypted data of each respective inhaler, determine respective usage information relating to each of the distinct types of medicament based on the respective encrypted data, and control a user interface (e.g., of the external device) to communicate the usage information related to each inhaler and/or each respective type of medicament.

Abstract: A heat-not-burn (HnB) aerosol generating device utilises a capsule including an integrated heater system provided with a heater element (336) and a fuse element (408). The heater element has a heating region (406), a first terminal (402) and a second terminal (404). The fuse element is electrically connected between the first terminal and the second terminal in parallel with the heater element. The fuse element has a region configured to induce a localized hot spot to cause the fuse element to open circuit in response to power applied between the first terminal and the second terminal. The fuse is blown after the first application of power to the heater element, and the resistance profile of the heater system may be assessed by the HnB device to determine whether the capsule is valid.

Abstract: A portable vaporizing apparatus for inhalation therapy and method of operation of the portable vaporizing apparatus are disclosed. The portable vaporizing apparatus includes a liquid cartridge comprising therapeutic substance, and ultrasonic activating tip removably coupled to proximal end of liquid cartridge. Furthermore, portable vaporizing apparatus includes mouthpiece having airflow outlet removably coupled to outer edge of proximal end of liquid cartridge. Thereafter, portable vaporizing apparatus includes power source removably coupled to distal end of liquid cartridge. The portable vaporizing apparatus receives ambient air via mouthpiece and power from power source to liquid cartridge. Further, portable vaporizing apparatus agitates ultrasonic waves in ultrasonic activating tip using received power. Furthermore, portable vaporizing apparatus vaporizes therapeutic substance comprised in liquid cartridge, based on agitated ultrasonic waves and ambient air. Also, portable vaporizing apparatus creates aerosol from vaporized therapeutic substance, to pass into mouthpiece for breathing into airway of user.

Abstract: Methods and systems for remotely controlling one or more ventilators with a portable device. The portable device may receive a first proximity indication for a first ventilator of a plurality of ventilators, and based on receiving the first proximity indication, establish a first wireless connection between the device and the first ventilator. In addition, the device may receive and display ventilator data regarding ventilation of a patient with the first ventilator. Further, the device may receive a first touch input for a first alteration to a ventilator setting. A signal to change the setting may be transmitted to the ventilator.
