The invention concerns packaging containers produced from a composite shaped by cold-forming, the term 'packaging containers' including base or lid parts or base and lid parts shaped by cold-forming. The base or lid parts can be shaped by cold-forming, and a lid foil or base foil, respectively, can form the corresponding closure for the packaging container. In addition, both the base and the lid part can be shaped by cold-forming, the depressions formed in the base and lid parts advantageously lying opposite one another. Examples of these packaging containers are strip packing or blister packaging for pharmaceutical products. The composite from which the packaging container or parts thereof are produced has a layered structure, for example, comprising: a) a plastics foil between 10 νm and 250 νm thick; b) a bi- or monoaxially oriented foil selected from the group comprising polyvinylchloride foils, polyolefin foils, polyamide foils or polyester foils between 10 and 100 νm thick, or a bi- or mononaxially oriented plastics foil composite comprising two foils selected from the group comprising polyvinylchloride foils, polyolefin foils, polyamide foils or polyester foils each between 10 and 50 νm thick; c) a metal foil between 20 and 200 νm thick; and a1) a plastics foil between 10 and 250 νm thick. The packaging containers are characterized by a high degree of flatness and/or rigidity.

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a flexible article, such as a surgeon's glove, displaying slip properties with respect to damp and dry mammalian tissue without use of powder lubricants. The article is comprised of a substrate layer having an elastomeric material, the layer having a wearer-contacting surface and a damp slip-conferring amount of a lubricant composition applied to the wearer-contacting surface. The lubricant composition is selected from the group consisting of a first composition and a second composition. The first composition comprises an acetylenic diol and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of an organo-modified silicone, an amino-modified silicone, and a cationic surfactant. The second composition comprises a cationic surfactant and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of an organo-modified silicone, an amino-modified silicone, and an acetylenic diol. The elastomer may be natural or synthetic, and is preferably selected from the group consisting of natural rubber, a polyurethane, neoprene, nitrile rubber, a styrenebutadiene-styrene block copolymer, a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer and combinations thereof. The cationic surfactant is preferably 1-hexadecylpyridinium chloride monohydrate.

Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Polyurethan-Formkörper durch Umsetzung von mindestens zwei gegenüber Isocyanaten reaktionsfähige Wasserstoffatome aufweisenden Verbindungen vom Molekulargewicht 400 bis 10.000 sowie gegebenenfalls Kettenverlängerern vom Molekulargewicht 32 ein 399 mit Polyisocyanaten in Gegenwart von gegebenenfalls Treibmitteln, Hilfs- und Zusatzstoffen, bei dem als Aktivatoren bestimmte Carbamate eingesetzt werden. Die nach diesem Verfahren erhaltenen Polyurethane sind besonders emissionsarm, d.h. diffusionsstabil und foggingarm, und eignen sich somit besonders für die Herstellung von Verbundformkörpern aus einem Polyurethan-Kern und mindestens einem weiteren Kunststoffmaterial als Deckschicht. Ebenfalls beschrieben wird die Verwendung dieser diffusionsstabilen und foggingarmen Form- und Verbundkörper, z.B. als Armaturentafeln oder Türverkleidungen im Fahrzeug-, Möbel-, Maschinen- oder Apparatebau.

A laminate for protecting an optical recording layer of an information recording member, particularly an information recording layer of an optical card, is disclosed. An organic solvent-resistant synthetic resin layer (12) is provided on the surface of a transparent and optically isotropic synthetic resin sheet (11), said surface being covered with an information recording layer. The synthetic resin layer (12) is composed of a crosslinkable phenoxy ether resin, a polyparabanic acid resin or a polyacrylonitrile resin and is formed by casting. Since the laminate for protecting an optical recording layer has the above-described laminate structure, it has good transparency, good optical isotropy, good mechanical strengths, good hardness, good solvent resistance, low heat conductivity, good heat resistance, good moisture absorption resistance, gas barrier property, etc. and can be put into practice also in respect of production cost.

The present invention relates to polymer films and processes for the preparation thereof. The present films comprise a polymer compound containing at least one anisotropic liquid crystalline polymer and at least one isotropic polymer, said isotropic polymer forming the polymer matrix of the film and said anisotropic liquid crystalline polymer being essentially located in at least one lamellar layer embedded in the polymer matrix and a least substantially extending over the length and width of the film. The oxygen transmission rate of the film is less than 150 cm3/(m2.d.bar), determined according to the standard ASTM D 3985 - 81. The films can be used in packaging laminates.
