摘要: A traveling system for mobile bodies includes a control device for controlling traveling operation of a first and a second mobile bodies (3a,3b) based on detection information provided by a relative distance detecting device mounted on only one of the first and second mobile bodies (3a,3b) for detecting a distance to the other of the first and second mobile bodies (3a,3b), a first distance detecting device for detecting a distance between the first mobile body and a first reference position (P1), and a second distance detecting device for detecting a distance between the second mobile body and a second reference position (P2). The control device determines, based on distance information between the first reference position (P1) and second reference position (P2), whether the detection information provided by each of the first and second distance detecting devices and detection information provided by the relative distance detecting device satisfy a proper determination condition, and stops movement of the first and second mobile bodies (3a,3b) when it is determined that the proper determination condition is not satisfied.

摘要: An automated build-by-layer rainbow pallet system comprises a layer build track and a layer build cart that carries a layer build robot and a number of positions for building rainbow pallets, for storing emptied supply pallets, and for storing empty half -pallets. On the rail-sides are dozens or hundreds of supply pallet conveyors for pallets of products to be picked- from when building the rainbow pallets. These are placed on one or both sides of the layer build track. The layer build robot can position itself in front of the appropriate supply pallet conveyor for picking. Once in position, half or full layers can be picked from the supply pallets and positioned over the target rainbow pallet to be built and then set on top. The process of picking and building layers as the layer build cart repositions in front of the appropriate supply pallet conveyor is repeated until all of the on-board rainbow pallets have been built. The layer building cart returns to an unloading area where the emptied supply pallets and built rainbow pallets are conveyed off to respective exit conveyors. Several empty pallets are then moved from an empty pallet supply, and placed in the individual rainbow pallet build locations either by robot or conveying. The system is then ready to build more rainbow pallets. The system is controlled by a software program for orchestrating the overall movement and building of pallets.

摘要: Methods and apparatus prevent breakage of a catalyst particle and evenly fill the catalyst into tubes to an optimum density. A loading tool comprises a plurality of damper members extending from a centerline of the tube in at least one radial direction but in every case, having a diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the tube. For example, in one embodiment the damper members are shaped in a 'Z'-like formation with each having a different rotational orientation than the adjacent one above or below it. The Z formations can be horizontally arranged along a central member or can be formed vertically in a unitary fashion from a single, stiffened member. In another embodiment, the dampers are formed into spiral or helical shapes that increase or decrease in diameter along the length of the tube.

摘要: A product conveying and accumulation system is provided for use with products of various shapes, and stability characteristics. The system comprises multiple moving conveyors, including a first conveyor (2) which transports product from an upstream location (11). This same conveyor or another conveyor delivers product to a downstream location. An accumulator conveyor (12), traveling at a substantially similar speed or a designated variable speed as the first conveyor or conveyors, is aligned in the same plane as, is adjacent to, and may mate with the first conveyor at a predetermined location for contiguous movement in the same direction as the first conveyor at this predetermined location. A product guide (40) is provided which allows for the movement of product from the upstream (7) to downstream locations (11) during normal operation and directs product to the accumulator section of the second conveyor when there is a disruption or malfunction downstream.
