Embodiments presented herein provide apparatus and techniques to reduce a direct current (DC) voltage offset between a transmitter and receiver. Embodiments include a shared reference voltage signal generated by a reference voltage source. The receiver may include a first unit gain buffer to receive a reference voltage signal from the reference voltage source. The transmitter may be communicatively coupled to the receiver via one or more connections and may include a second unit gain buffer communicatively coupled to the first unit gain buffer via one of the connections. An amplifier (e.g., an operation amplifier) of the transmitter may include multiple positive inputs coupled to the second unit gain buffer and an offset tracker. The offset tracker may compensate for a DC offset caused by at least a power supply and/or a ground bounce.

The present application provides an amplifying circuit comprising a reference voltage generating circuit, a common-mode voltage conversion circuit, a common-mode negative feedback circuit, and an amplifying sub-circuit. The reference voltage generating circuit generates a first reference voltage, a second reference voltage, and a reference common-mode voltage according to a post-stage common-mode voltage, the common-mode voltage conversion circuit converts the pre-stage output differential signal into a differential input signal according to the reference common-mode voltage, the common-mode negative feedback circuit generates a control voltage to quickly establish a common-mode negative feedback of the amplifying sub-circuit, wherein the first reference voltage and the second reference voltage are used to cancel a baseline signal of the pre-stage output differential signal. The amplifying circuit provided in the present application can eliminate the baseline signal, convert the common-mode voltage and quickly establish the common-mode negative feedback.

The present invention relates to a predistorter for reducing memory effects in RF power amplifiers. The invention also relates to a method for reducing memory effects in RF power amplifiers and to a base station including such a predistorter. A predistorter according to the invention includes first means (1) for generating a first signal component, which is an estimate of a drain current of said amplifier, which means (1) for generating said first signal component comprises a linear filter, second means (8) for generating a second signal component as a function of said first signal component and at least one first gain function; third means (9) for generating a third signal component as a function of a conjugate of said first signal component and at least one second gain function, and fourth means (7) for combining at least said second signal component and said third signal component to form an output signal. The output signal from the predistorter is further used as input to the power amplifier, which when amplified reduces the memory effects of the amplifier.
