Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive system and method for automatically charging robot cleaner which is equipped with a small number of infrared sensors which are oscillated to sense infrared signals to correctly and quickly move the robot cleaner to a charging part. SOLUTION: This automatic charging system for a robot cleaner is equipped with an oscillating board 306 equipped on the robot cleaner, an infrared receiving parts 304, 305 equipped on the oscillating board 306 to oscillate and receive infrared signals generated from a power supplying part 400, a micro-computer 303 to control the robot cleaner based on the received signals so as to control the robot cleaner to the power supplying part 400, and an ultrasonic generating part 309 to generate a stop signal when the robot cleaner approaches near the power supplying part 404. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot cleaner system capable of detecting an external charger and connecting itself to the same provided on a place where an upper camera of the robot cleaner cannot detect the charger, and a connection method thereof to the external charger. SOLUTION: The robot cleaner system provided with the external charger comprises the external charger 80 provided with a current source terminal connected to a normal electric power, a charging device identification label provided on the charger 80, an identification label detecting sensor for detecting the label, a charging battery, and the robot cleaner 10 connecting itself to the terminal to charge the charging battery. This constitution allows the robot cleaner system provided with the external charger 80 to correctly detect a position of the charger 80 to connect itself to the same even when the charger 80 is placed on a position where the upper camera of the cleaner cannot sense a position recognition mark of the charger 80. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify various types of information acquired by own machine to the outside after replacing the expression of the information with the expression in which the information is summarized to such an extent that the summary of the information can be grasped at a glance.SOLUTION: A self-propelled cleaner 1 includes: an emotion selection unit 201 that determines summarized information in which information acquired by the self-propelled cleaner is summarized; and a transmission processing unit 301 that transmits the determined summarized-information to an external device. The emotion selection unit 201 determines the summarized information by selecting it from a plurality of options according to the acquired information.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute operation corresponding to an emotion based on information related to cleaning.SOLUTION: A self-propelled vacuum cleaner 1 includes: an event detection unit 101 that detects that an event related to cleaning has occurred in the self-propelled vacuum cleaner; an emotion selection unit 201 that selects an operation mode when the self-propelled vacuum cleaner operates as a response to an event when the event has occurred from a plurality of options according to measurement information related to cleaning and measurable by the self-propelled vacuum cleaner; and a response operation control unit 301 that allows the self-propelled vacuum cleaner to execute the operation in accordance with operation information in which the event that has occurred and the selected operation mode are associated.
