    摘要: A modular rotor blade for a power generating turbine allows simple replacement of individual rotor blade sections in case of damage to or malfunction of a section. The modular rotor blade includes at least two rotor blade sections, wherein each rotor blade section includes at least one connecting part having at least one conical opening. The connecting parts of adjacent rotor blade sections rest against each other such that the conical openings of the connecting parts are aligned with each other and form a continuous conical connecting opening. Receiving elements for receiving tensioning elements are arranged at the smaller diameter end of the conical connecting opening. A conical bolt corresponding to the continuous conical connecting opening is arranged therein, and at least one tensioning element passes through the conical bolt and tensions the conical bolt against the receiving element.

A hinge (144) is provided at a pivot point (148) near a proximate end of the main beam (128), such that an aft portion of the main beam (128) extends beyond the pivot point (148) to the exterior of the turbine. A distal end of the main beam (128) rests upon a forward beam. A lateral motion actuator (134) moves the main beam (128) back and forth along the forward beam. The trolley (156) runs back and forth along the main beam (128). A turbine component is attached to a hook lowered by cable from the trolley (156). The trolley (156) with the component on the hook is moved to the aft portion of the main beam (128), which extends beyond the turbine. The hook is lowered to the ground so that the component can be serviced or replaced.

    摘要: A turbine control system for a variable speed electrical generator in a wind turbine mounted atop a support tower. The wind turbine converts wind energy into a driving torque applied to the generator. The control system includes a turbine support tower position sensor and may also include other tower acceleration and velocity sensors. A wind flow estimator uses the measured motion, generator rotation rate and blade pitch angle to predict wind flow over the swept area of the turbine's rotor, and the tower motion. The predicted wind flow and motion is used in the turbine control system to properly adjust its operating point, to tune the controller, to control the rotor rotation rate, and to damp tower oscillations.
