摘要: The present invention relates to a multi-layer fluid delivery device for post-installation in-situ barrier creation. The device provides a medium for post-installation injection of remedial substances such as waterproofing polymeric resins or cementitious materials, insecticides, mold preventatives, rust retardants and the like. The device comprises a first layer and a second layer, with optionally an intermediate layer therebetween, and a plurality of tubes extending outwardly from the first layer. The first layer is preferably semi-permeable; the second layer is non-permeable; the optional intermediate layer is a void-inducing layer. The multi-layered device is attached to a structural substrate and a construction material such as concrete or shotcrete is applied against its surface (and around the plurality of tubes). Thereafter, a free flowing active substance can be injected through the tubes to fill the air space in the multi-layered device.

摘要: Disclosed is a coating composition that includes an aqueous emulsion of a hydrophobic acrylic polymer, a water-soluble polymer, and an inorganic filler, and further includes a freezing-point lowering component to permit low temperature application. The freezing-point lowering component will preferably include a water-soluble, corrosion inhibiting salt. The coating composition will also optionally and preferably include an evaporation enhancing component to promote faster drying and skin formation at low temperatures. The coating composition may be coated onto a construction surface (e.g., by spraying) where, after drying, it will form a fully adhered barrier membrane that is water-vapor permeable, but air and liquid-water impermeable. Such membrane will preferably have sufficient coating thickness and sufficiently high elongation that it will bridge joints and cracks.

摘要: Disclosed is a coating composition that includes an aqueous emulsion of a hydrophobic acrylic polymer, a water-soluble polymer, and an inorganic filler, and further includes a freezing-point lowering component to permit low temperature application. The freezing-point lowering component will preferably include a water-soluble, corrosion inhibiting salt. The coating composition will also optionally and preferably include an evaporation enhancing component to promote faster drying and skin formation at low temperatures. The coating composition may be coated onto a construction surface (e.g., by spraying) where, after drying, it will form a fully adhered barrier membrane that is water-vapor permeable, but air and liquid-water impermeable. 摘要: Shaped waterproofing membranes having three-dimensional contours are useful for the “reverse tanking” waterproofing of detail areas such as those presented by “tiebacks,” pipes, pile caps, and other irregularities that occur on concrete formworks and other civil construction or building surfaces. A preferred method for making such membranes is to thermoform a membrane laminate, having a carrier support sheet, waterproofing adhesive, and optionally a protective coating layer, as a single unit.

摘要: Described is a skid-resistant roofing underlayment that, in its most basic form, includes three layers—a flexible substrate layer, an adhesive layer and a release liner layer. The flexible substrate comprises a woven polyolefin mesh that includes a first plurality of polyolefin tapes extending in a major direction interwoven with a second plurality of polyolefin tapes extending in a cross direction. The adhesive layer includes a modified bitumen pressure sensitive adhesive with a sufficient cohesive strength to prevent exudation of the adhesive through the flexible substrate at elevated temperatures.

摘要: Disclosed is a method of installing a flashing tape onto a building surface proximate to an opening in a building structure. The method includes: providing a roll of flexible flashing tape, wherein the flexible flashing tape comprises a flexible substrate with an adhesive layer on one surface of the flexible substrate, wherein the adhesive layer has sufficiently low adhesion such that the flashing tape may be easily unrolled without the need for a release liner and may be removably adhered to the building surface; unrolling a portion of the flexible flashing tape and positioning it onto the building surface such that the adhesive layer contacts the building surface and removably adheres the flashing tape to the building surface until the flashing tape can be permanently fastened thereto; and permanently fastening the flashing tape to the building surface with mechanical fasteners.

摘要: Adhesive composition in mat or sheet form for setting construction materials such as tiles. The adhesive composition comprises at least one pressure sensitive adhesive and a reactive adhesive dispersed therein, wherein said reactive adhesive forms a blend or a semi or fully interpenetrating network or a reinforcing phase throughout said pressure sensitive adhesive, said mat having a thickness defined between a first side and a second side opposite said first side, and at least one release layer removably secured to one of said first side or said second side. Embodiments include application of the adhesive by providing an adhesive mat having a back release liner and a top release liner opposite the back release liner, removing the back release liner, laying the mat on the substrate such as a floor, applying pressure to the mat to ensure good contact between the mat and the substrate, removing the top release liner, and positioning the tile onto the adhesive mat.
