Abstract: A system of a motor vehicle includes a radar unit for generating a radar signal associated with a target positioned about the vehicle. The system further includes a tracker generating a tracker signal associated with a radar heading and a doppler based on the radar signal. The system further includes a wheel speed sensor for generating a wheel speed signal associated with a velocity of the vehicle. The system further includes a gyroscope for generating a gyro signal associated with a measured yaw rate. The system further includes a computer having a processor and a computer readable medium. The processor is programmed to determine a gyro drift and a corrected yaw rate while the vehicle is in motion, with the gyro drift and the corrected yaw rate being based on at least the radar heading, the doppler effect, and the velocity of the vehicle, and the measured yaw rate.

The method also includes receiving an infrastructure-based point cloud, referenced to a global coordinate system, of objects detected by a camera mounted at a fixed location external to the vehicle, and registering the vehicle-based point cloud with the infrastructure-based point cloud to determine the vehicle position in the global coordinate system.

Abstract: A system for detection and reporting of data signal interference includes a plurality of vehicles. Each vehicle includes a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver receiving a GNSS signal, a cellular modem configured for sending and receiving data over a wireless communication network, and a computerized detection and reporting controller. The controller includes programming to monitor the GNSS signal, analyze the GNSS signal to identify a presence of radio frequency (RF) interference, and generate a report of an RF interference event to a remote server device based upon the presence of the interference. The system further includes the server device including programming to monitor the report of the interference event from each of the vehicles, identify a threshold RF interference event based upon the report of the RF interference event from each of the plurality of vehicles, and command a remedial action based upon the threshold RF interference event.

Abstract: A vehicle telematics device for a vehicle that includes an electronic processor, a wireless chipset for wireless communication to and from the vehicle, and a bus interface for receiving bus messages from a communications bus in the vehicle. The vehicle telematics device includes computer readable memory storing program code that, upon execution by the processor, causes the vehicle telematics device to: (a) monitor for messages received by the bus interface from the communications bus; (b) detect a communication failure of the communication bus based on the monitoring; (c) determine a vehicle movement that is indicative of a vehicle crash; and (d) initiate a communication with a remote facility in response to both the detection of the communication failure and the determination of the vehicle movement that is indicative of a crash a notification.

Abstract: A system for determining an optimal behavior for a vehicle includes at least one vehicle sensor and a controller in electrical communication with the at least one vehicle sensor. The controller is programmed to determine an ingress stop bar location and an egress stop bar location of a traffic-signal-controlled intersection in a path of the vehicle using the at least one vehicle sensor. The controller is further programmed to determine a current signal phase of the traffic signal using the at least one vehicle sensor. The controller is further programmed to determine a location of a first remote vehicle using the at least one vehicle sensor. The controller is further programmed to determine the optimal behavior for the vehicle based at least in part on the ingress stop bar location, the egress stop bar location, the current signal phase, and the location of the first remote vehicle.
