摘要: A system for predicting a door opening event of a vehicle includes an identity recognition device associated with an individual occupant profile. The system also includes one or more controllers in electronic communication with the identity recognition device, where the one or more controllers store one or more individual occupant profiles in memory of the one or more controllers that includes historical occupant behavior exhibited by one or more occupants associated with the identity recognition device. The one or more controllers execute instructions to determine a predetermined condition has occurred, where the predetermined condition indicates the vehicle is undergoing a potential engine off event. The one or more controllers determine a door opening event probability value based on at least the gear position probability value and the engine off probability value.

摘要: Presented herein are adaptive power assist systems for manually-powered vehicles, methods for operating/constructing such systems, and motorized operator-powered vehicles with adaptive power assist systems. A method for regulating a power assist system of a manually powered vehicle includes a vehicle controller determining path plan data that includes a predicted route plan to traverse from a current vehicle location to a desired vehicle destination. A resident wireless communications device receives, from a remote computing node, an assist level power trace for operating the vehicle's tractive motor on the predicted route plan. The vehicle controller receives health level data specific to the vehicle user, determines a power assist delta based on the health level data, and modifies the assist level power trace based on this power assist delta. The vehicle controller transmits command signals to the tractive motor to output a selectively variable torque according to the modified assist level power trace.

摘要: Technical solutions are described for generating a pedestrian detection warning in a vehicle. An example method includes constructing, by a vehicle controller, a pedestrian zone based on pedestrian information that is received from a traffic controller. The method further includes computing, by the vehicle controller, a vehicle trajectory that predicts a path for the vehicle. The method further includes determining, by the vehicle controller, a minimal distance between the pedestrian zone and the vehicle trajectory. The method further includes predicting, by the vehicle controller, a time to collision by computing a time for the vehicle to reach a location corresponding to the minimal distance along the vehicle trajectory. The method further includes in response to the time to collision being below a threshold, generating, by the vehicle controller, a warning for an operator of the vehicle.

The method further includes determining a route of a vehicle using the work-zone data. Determining the route path of the vehicle includes selecting a lane segment using the work-zone data. The lane segment is adjacent to the work zone. Determining the route path further includes determining a lane departure tolerance for the lane segment previously selected using the work-zone data. The method further includes commanding the vehicle to move within the lane departure tolerance along the lane segment previously selected.

摘要: A method of creating a high-definition (HD) map of a roadway includes receiving a multi-layer probability density bitmap. The multi-layer probability density bitmap represents a plurality of lane lines of the roadway sensed by a plurality of sensors of a plurality of vehicles. The multi-layer probability density bitmap includes a plurality of points. The method further includes recursively conducting a hill climbing search using the multi-layer probability density bitmap to create a plurality of lines. In addition, the method includes creating the HD map of the roadway using the plurality of lines determined by the hill climbing search.
