    Abstract: A motor control system includes: a d-q target module configured to, based on a target torque of an electric motor, determine a first target d-axis current and a first target q-axis current; an offset module configured to, based on a capacitor current through capacitors connected across phases of the electric motor, determine a d-axis current offset and a q-axis current offset; an adder module configured to determine a second target d-axis current based on a sum of the first target d-axis current and the d-axis current offset and to determine a second target q-axis current based on a sum of the first target q-axis current and the q-axis current offset; and a driver module configured to, based on the second target d-axis current and the second target q-axis current, switch switches of a current source inverter (CSI) module configured to apply power to the phases of the electric motor.

    Abstract: A modular dynamically allocated capacity storage system (MODACS) is provided and includes a housing and a control module. The housing includes source terminals, switches, cells, and sensing module. The source terminals supplying power at a first voltage potential to a first plurality of loads and power at a second voltage potential to a second plurality of loads. The cells are configured to supply power to each of the source terminals based on states of the switches. The sensing modules are configured to determine parameters of each of the cells and generate corresponding status signals. The control module is configured to receive a power request signal, and based on the power request signal and the parameters of each of the cells, determine a connected configuration for the cells relative to each other and the plurality of source terminals and set states of the switches according to the connected configuration.

    Abstract: A generator system includes an AC machine including a plurality of armature coils and a rectifier circuit electrically coupled to the armature coils. The rectifier circuit includes a plurality of switches. The generator system additionally includes a sensor device electrically coupled to a control circuit. The sensor device is configured to determine a rotor position of the AC machine. The control circuit determines a desired phase angle between a phase current and an induced voltage of the AC machine and provides a control signal to the rectifier circuit to switch the switches on and off to convert an AC signal to a DC signal and to control the rotor position of the AC machine to achieve the desired phase angle.

    Abstract: A power control system comprises a battery system including N battery packs. A plurality of contactors selectively connects N battery packs of a battery system in a first configuration supplying a first voltage level, a second configuration supplying a second voltage level, and a disconnected configuration. M power inverters connect the battery system to M electric machines, respectively. A controller is configured to determine when to transition between the first configuration and the second configuration. The controller is configured to transition between the first configuration and the second configuration by causing one of a positive torque transient and a negative torque transient to be generated by at least one of the M electric machines, transitioning the battery system from one of the first configuration and the second configuration to the disconnected configuration, and transitioning from the disconnected configuration to the other one of the first configuration and the second configuration.
