摘要: Example methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture (e.g., non-transitory physical storage media) to implement foveated image rendering for head-mounted displays device are disclosed herein. Example head-mounted display devices disclosed herein include a frame buffer to store first and second image data for an image frame, the first image data having a first resolution and the second image data having a second resolution lower than the first resolution, the first image data and the second image data obtained from a host device via a data interface. Disclosed example head-mounted display devices also include a device controller to up-sample the second image data based on first metadata from the host device to generate up-sampled second image data having the first resolution, and combine the first image data and the up-sampled second image data based on second metadata from the host device to render a foveated image frame on a display.

摘要: Methods and apparatus to implement aging compensation for emissive displays with subpixel rendering are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a converter to convert red-green-blue (RGB) data to subpixel rendering (SPR) data. The RGB data is indicative of an image to be rendered on an emissive display screen. The apparatus includes a compensator to apply pixel correction values to the SPR data to generate corrected SPR data to compensate for pixel degradation. The apparatus further includes a usage accumulator to track pixel usage based on the corrected SPR data. The apparatus also includes a correction calculator to calculate the pixel correction values based on the pixel usage.

摘要: An example apparatus for powering a mobile device display includes a first voltage regulator electronically to be electronically coupled to a display backlight and to a power rail. The power rail is coupled to a power source to provide a first voltage within a first range of voltages. The first voltage regulator is to provide a second voltage within a second range of voltages to the display backlight. The apparatus also includes a second voltage regulator to be electronically coupled to display electronics of the mobile device display and the power rail. The second voltage regulator is to provide a third voltage within a third range of voltages to the display electronics. The first range of voltages, the second range of voltages, and the third range of voltages, are different voltages.

摘要: In one embodiment, a processor includes at least one core and at least one graphics processor. The processor includes: a display host controller to control a display device coupled to the processor; a touch host controller to control a touch device coupled to the processor; a traffic controller to multiplex first information from the display host controller and second information from the touch host controller; and a physical unit circuit to communicate the first information and the second information via a plurality of first data lanes of an interconnect to couple to at least one device controller, a clock signal via a clock lane of the interconnect, and receive touch data from the at least one device controller via a second data lane of the interconnect. A controllable opacity layer may be disposed on the emissive layer, wherein the controllable opacity layer is capable of at least partially blocking light emission from the array of pixels.
