    摘要: A variable-bias power amplifier is provided, comprising: a first variable voltage source generating first bias voltages based on bias control signals; a first amplifier circuit amplifying an output RF signal to generate a first amplified signal based on the first bias voltages; a second variable voltage source generating second bias voltages based on the bias control signals; a second amplifier circuit amplifying the output RF signal to generate a second amplified signal based on the second bias voltages; and a DC isolation circuit between the first amplifier circuit and the second amplifier circuit, electrically isolating DC currents at the first amplifier from DC currents at the second amplifier, wherein the first variable voltage source can be controlled independently from the second variable voltage source, and the first amplifier circuit, the second amplifier circuit, and the DC isolation circuit are all formed on a single die.

    摘要: A thermal phase separation simulator and method for testing chemicals is disclosed. The simulator comprises a circular block heater carousel mounted for rotation on a stage. The carousel includes a circular array of test wells for receiving a plurality of test bottles, a plurality of heating elements and thermocouples disposed between the wells. Each well has an illumination port and a vertical slit to the outside to allow visual observation or imaging of a vertical swatch of the bottle. An illumination source aligns with the illumination port of each well in response to rotation of the carousel. The method includes adding a mixed phase fluid to a plurality of bottles, adding a chemical agent to each bottle, and simulating a thermal phase separation. Images of the fluid in each bottle are captured and analyzed to determine the performance of the one or more chemical agents.

    摘要: Methods of diminishing the benzene content of the effluent wash water in a two stage crude oil desalting system are disclosed. The first stage desalter is operated at "low", near ambient temperatures with decreased mixing of crude oil and wash water and increased addition of demulsifier. The second stage is operated at "hot" temperatures of prior processes with increased mixing of the crude oil and wash water. The effluent wash water has a substantially diminished benzene content compared to prior two-stage desalting systems.
