This invention provides REL inhibitors which interfere with the DNA binding capacity of a REL protein. Additionally this invention provides methods of treating, abrogating, or preventing diseases which respond with a positive clinical score to a REL inhibitor. Methods of identifying REL inhibitor based on a REL protein three dimensional model are described.

A microfluidic system has a pipette system comprising a plurality of pipettes, a microfluidic chip arranged proximate the pipette system, an imaging optical detection system arranged proximate the microfluidic chip, and an image processing system in communication with the imaging optical detection system. The microfluidic chip has a plurality of cell culture chambers defined by a body of the microfluidic chip, each cell culture chamber being in fluid connection with an input channel and an output channel defined by the microfluidic chip. The pipette system is constructed and arranged to at least one of inject fluid through the plurality of pipettes into the plurality of input channels or extract fluid through the plurality of pipettes from the plurality of output channels while the microfluidic system is in operation.

A method for manufacturing a conductive film composed of carbon nanotubes includes the steps of dispersing carbon nanotubes in a solution in which a perfluorosulfonate polymer is dissolved as a dispersant in a solvent; and filtering the solution in which the carbon nanotubes are dispersed.
Abstract:
A system has multiple antennas, a Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) module creating TDM slots, and demultiplexing circuitry inserting within the TDM slots Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols and associating the TDM slots with data sub-streams. The system also includes precoding circuitry associating the data sub-streams with multiple tones. Each of the respective tones corresponds to a respective one of the antennas. The antennas transmit the data sub-streams using the multiple tones.
Abstract:
A support vector machine with wavelet kernel was developed for accurate modeling of nonlinear systems. A method of providing an optimized model of a nonlinear system includes using a support vector machine (SVM) having a wavelet kernel, where support vectors include a family of multidimensional wavelets. Training the SVM allows optimization of the number of support vectors, the weights of the support vectors, and the translation factors of the support vectors. Use of a novel linear programming approach reduces computational demands required for training, allowing optimized support vectors to give an optimized model of the nonlinear system. Further, on-line retraining is possible, so that the model can be adapted to changing conditions.
Abstract:
In a method of acoustic feedback suppression, digitized time-domain samples of acoustic signals are obtained, and discrete time-frequency transformation is performed on the digitized time-domain samples to generate a plurality of frequency bins of a frequency resolution. A howling frequency bin is identified, where the howling frequency has the maximum magnitude among the plurality of frequency bins. A peak frequency within the howling frequency bin is detected, and this peak frequency is suppressed.
Abstract:
A layer of material that binds to the next material to be printed is applied. In an embodiment this material is a resin containing a porous silica. The number of printing passes and amount of liquid accumulation is reduced by selecting ingredients of the ink to act both as a humectant and as a layer former, which permits the ink to have high amounts of active ingredient. In an implementation, two materials, the first an ink depositing amine and the second an ink depositing epoxy, are printed separately. They react in situ to form a single, dielectric layer. When the lower layer is a conductive metal trace or a wiring crossover on, for example, a paper substrate, a second metal trace perpendicular to the lower trace may be formed on the dielectric layer to form a capacitive circuit configuration.
Abstract:
A method for making toner particles having reduced toner charge transfer sensitivity when used in electrophotographic printers. The method includes preparing a dispersion of pigment, a fuser release agent, and a polymeric dispersant. The polymeric dispersant has a hydrophilic polymeric segment and at least one segment selected from the group consisting of a protective colloid segment and reactive surfactant segment. The polymeric dispersant also has a weight average molecular weight ranging from about 5,000 to about 30,000 as determined by gel permeation chromatography, and a hydrophobicity ranging from about 10 to about 90 percent by weight. The dispersion is mixed with a latex binder dispersion to provide a toner mixture. The toner mixture is agglomerated while stirring the mixture at an elevated temperature to provide toner particles.
