A power supply device installed in an electronic apparatus includes a first power supply outputting power upon a plug being connected to a system power supply, a second power supply outputting power upon receiving of a power supply control signal, a third power supply outputting power from a battery, a controller operating using the power from the second power supply and configured to control the electronic apparatus, a flip-flop configured to operate using the power from the third power supply and configured to store, upon activating the electronic apparatus, first logic data or upon shutting down the electronic apparatus, second logic data, and a power supply control switch operating using the power from the first power supply, to output the power supply control signal to the second power supply, in response to activating the electronic apparatus or in response to storing the first logic data in the flip-flop.

Provided is a carbon fiber manufacturing method including a surface treatment step of ejecting an ozone solution in which ozone is dissolved in solvent from a fluid ejecting port toward a carbon fiber bundle and causing the ozone solution to pass between single fibers of the carbon fiber bundle so as to contact surfaces of the single fibers so that the surfaces of carbon fibers are treated by the ozone solution. Also, provided is a carbon fiber subjected to a surface treatment by the carbon fiber manufacturing method.

The semiconductor device has insulating films 40, 42 formed over a substrate 10; an interconnection 58 buried in at least a surface side of the insulating films 40, 42; insulating films 60, 62 formed on the insulating film 42 and including a hole-shaped via-hole 60 and a groove-shaped via-hole 66a having a pattern bent at a right angle; and buried conductors 70, 72a buried in the hole-shaped via-hole 60 and the groove-shaped via-hole 66a. A groove-shaped via-hole 66a is formed to have a width which is smaller than a width of the hole-shaped via-hole 66. Defective filling of the buried conductor and the cracking of the inter-layer insulating film can be prevented. Steps on the conductor plug can be reduced. Accordingly, defective contact with the upper interconnection layer and the problems taking place in forming films can be prevented.

A printing method for printing a file stored on an external storage device attached to an image forming device includes steps of transmitting printing instruction information including first print instructing device information that specifies a print instructing device, from the print instructing device configured to issue a printing instruction to the image forming device, to the image forming device, determining whether the first print instructing device information included in the printing instruction information transmitted by the print instructing device is identical to second print instructing device information stored on the external storage device that specifies a print instructing device, and printing the file stored on the external storage device with the image forming device based upon the printing instruction information, when it is determined that the first print instructing device information is identical to the second print instructing device information.

Provided are: a method for brazing an aluminum alloy, which is characterized in that brazing is carried out by heating an aluminum brazing sheet without using flux in a furnace that is in an argon gas-containing atmosphere, said aluminum brazing sheet comprising a core material that is composed of aluminum or an aluminum alloy and a brazing filler material that is composed of an aluminum alloy and clad on one surface or both surfaces of the core material, and said core material and/or said brazing filler material containing Mg; and a brazing apparatus which is used in the method for brazing an aluminum alloy. The brazing method has good and stable brazing properties and is applicable in industrial practice.

A sheet processing device in the form of an offset stacker, a sheet fence (103, 104) is provided on a side of sheets (S) to be processed stacked on a stack tray (3) opposite from a jogger (101, 102) so that the sheet fence accurately defines a final offset position of the sheets. When a transient offset position at which the sheets are stacked on the stack tray varies from one sheet to another, the side edges of sheets selected for offset stacking can be lined up without fail owing to the jogging action of the jogger and the supporting action of the sheet fence. A pair of joggers may be arranged on either side of the sheets, along with a pair of corresponding sheets fences on the opposing sides. The jogger and sheet fence on a same side may be supported by a common moveable frame (107, 108).
