    摘要: A constant velocity universal joint comprises an outer joint element having grooves on its spherical inner surface. An inner joint element is positioned within the outer joint element and is provided with grooves on its spherical outer surface to form pairs of opposed grooves with the grooves on the outer joint element. A ball is positioned in every pair of opposed grooves and a cage disposed between the two joint elements retains the balls in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the cage. The cage is guided within the outer joint element by a spherical surface on the outer face of the cage and is guided with respect to the inner joint element by a spherical surface on the inner face of the cage. To facilitate assembly in the joint without weakening structural strength of the cage, the cage is provided with transverse notches or grooves in two diagonal positions. Each groove is formed at a ball aperture and has a width and a depth so as to be capable of receiving a ridge between adjacent grooves on the outer joint element.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method to producing a phenol resin by which a polyarylene having low melt viscosity ether can be industrially produced by extremely simple and easy method, without the need of a special aftertreatment after polymerization and complicated multistep reaction, and produces a method of producing an epoxy resin from a phenol resin obtained by the above-mentioned method. The method of producing a phenol resin having a polyarylene ether structure includes a step of a dehydration condensation reaction of reacting a polyhydroxyaromatic compound (A) having two or more phenolic hydroxyl groups per molecule in the presence of a basic catalysis (B).

    摘要: A process for preparing an epoxy resin involves the reaction of a polyhydric phenol with an epihalohydrin in a water-soluble solvent in the presence of an alkali reactive catalyst wherein a continuous distillation of the reaction product is conducted to (1) isolate a first recovered fraction containing unreacted epihalohydnn, water-soluble solvent and at most 0.01 part by weight of the by-product glycidol per one part by weight of unreacted epihalohydrin; (2) isolate a second recovered fraction containing unreacted epihalohydrin, the by-product glycidol and at most 0.01 part by weight of water-soluble organic solvent per one part by weight of unreacted epihalohydrin; (3) recover the epihalohydrin from the second recovered fraction by washing with water to remove the water-soluble organic solvent and glycidol; and (4) reuse the first recovered fraction and the recovered epihalohydrin from the second recovered fraction as a raw material of the reaction.
