    Abstract: Provided is a cover window. The cover window includes a substrate layer. The cover window further includes a hard-coating layer on the substrate layer. The cover window further includes a protective film disposed on the hard-coating layer and including a base film and a plurality of protrusions protruding from the base film. The cover window further includes an adhesive layer disposed on surfaces of the plurality of protrusions and bonding the hard-coating layer and the protective film. The protective film includes a first area and second areas disposed on both sides of the first area. The plurality of protrusions are disposed in the first area. The plurality of protrusions have a shape in which the protrusions disposed on one side and the protrusions disposed on the other side are symmetrical to each other with respect to a central line of the first area.

    Abstract: A foldable display device is disclosed. The foldable display device includes a display panel including a folding area and a non-folding area, a back plate unit, and a plurality of adhesive layers disposed between the display panel and the back plate unit and between the back plate units. Some of the plurality of adhesive layers includes a first adhesive part and a second adhesive part having different adhesiveness. Therefore, an adhesiveness of the plurality of adhesive layers is controlled to reduce the stress generated at the time of folding the foldable display device.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a cover window and a flexible display device including the same. The cover window according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure includes a first layer having a first modulus, a second layer disposed on the first layer and having a second modulus smaller than the first modulus, and a third layer disposed on the second layer and having a third modulus equal to or larger than the first modulus, and in which the third layer includes a nanoparticle-polyurethane complex in which polyurethane is bonded with nanoparticles by a covalent bond. Therefore, the cover window of the present disclosure provides effects that the folding and rolling are possible with excellent surface characteristic and the restorability against the pressing and excellent optical property.

The device includes: a first substrate; a second substrate spaced apart from and opposite to the first substrate; a first lower alignment layer formed on an upper surface of the first substrate; a first upper alignment layer formed on a lower surface of the second substrate; a second alignment layer formed in an array on either or both of an upper surface of the first lower alignment layer and a lower surface of the first upper alignment layer; a polymer barrier positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate, the polymer barrier formed on the array of the second alignment layer; and a liquid crystal positioned between the polymer barriers.
