The present disclosure relates to a method for controlling a display of an electronic device and a device thereof to adjust a load of the electronic device by adjusting a resolution of the display. An operation method of the electronic device comprises: detecting, by a load detector, an amount of load on the electronic device; analyzing, by a monitoring unit, the detected amount of load and generating a graphic control signal; changing, by a graphic processing unit, a resolution of the electronic device; and displaying, by a display, data reflecting the changed resolution.

According to various embodiments, an electronic device comprises a temperature sensor, a display, and a processor configured to operate by using a clock speed selected from among a plurality of clock speeds, wherein the processor may be configured to: execute a designated application by using one selected from among the plurality of clock speeds; check an external temperature by using the temperature sensor for at least some time during the execution of the designated application; when the external temperature falls to within a range of a first designated temperature, execute the designated application by using one selected from among the plurality of clock speeds according to a designated clock governor; and when the external temperature falls to within a range of a second designated temperature that is lower than the first designated temperature, execute the designated application by using one selected from among the plurality of clock speeds, except for some higher clock speeds, according to the designated clock governor. The electronic device transmits power change information containing a power control value of an application to another electronic device, and receives and stores power control information about the application transmitted from the another electronic device. If a power level of the electronic device is lower than a predetermined power change level when the application is executed, the electronic device executes the application with power control data of the application in the power control information stored in the electronic device.
