    Abstract: In an EGR system that introduces an EGR gas to a vicinity of an inlet of a compressor in an intake passage, prevention of erosion of an impeller by condensed water generated in an EGR passage, and restraint of pressure loss of intake air are made compatible. An introduction port for an EGR gas formed in a wall surface of the intake passage in a vicinity of the inlet of the compressor and an exhaust passage are connected by the EGR passage. The EGR passage is provided with an EGR valve, and an exhaust throttle valve is provided downstream of a position where the EGR passage is connected in the exhaust passage. By a control device that controls the EGR valve and the exhaust throttle valve, respective opening degrees of the EGR valve and the exhaust throttle valve are controlled in accordance with a flow rate of fresh air that flows to the compressor, and a velocity of the EGR gas that flows out into the intake passage from the introduction port for the EGR gas is changed so that the EGR gas flows toward a center portion of the impeller of the compressor.

    Abstract: An internal combustion engine system includes: a turbosupercharger having a turbo-compressor arranged in a first intake passage; a throttle valve provided on a downstream side relative to the turbo-compressor; a second intake passage that bypasses the turbo-compressor; and an electric supercharger in which a compressor wheel disposed in the second intake passage is driven by an electric motor. When a request to decelerate the internal combustion engine is issued during driving of the compressor wheel by the electric motor, driving of the compressor wheel by the electric motor is stopped before the throttle valve starts a valve closing operation, and the intake bypass valve opens at or after a time at which a valve closing operation of the throttle valve starts.

    Abstract: An internal combustion engine includes a throttle valve, an EGR passage, an EGR valve, a valve mechanism that adjusts opening and closing characteristics of an intake valve or an exhaust valve of the internal combustion engine, and a controller that controls the throttle valve, the EGR valve and the valve mechanism, based on request torque that is requested of the internal combustion engine. The controller is configured to execute evacuation traveling control that operates the throttle valve to fully open, calculates a target intake air flow amount for achieving the request torque based on an effective opening area of the EGR valve which is stuck, and operates the valve mechanism in accordance with the target intake air flow amount, in at least one time period while the request torque is reducing when the EGR valve is stuck in an open state.
