Abstract: Provided herein are polymer-drug conjugates with enhanced antibacterial efficacy. These conjugates include a polymer comprising a plurality of masked cationic functional groups and an antibiotic drug linked to the cationic polymer by a pH-sensitive linker. The masked cationic functional groups may be converted in aqueous solution to free cationic functional groups faster at a pH below 7 than a pH above 7. The cationic functional groups may be masked as either an uncharged functional group or by an ion pair with a neighboring anionic functional group attached to the polymer. The pH-sensitive linker releases the drug faster in aqueous solution at or below a pre-determined pH value selected from a range of 4.5 to 7 than a pH value above 7.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to unimolecular core-shell nanoparticle, nanoclusters thereof, and platelet biomimetic nanoclusters thereof. The disclosed compositions are useful for treating a subject with a disease or condition, such as a cardiovascular disease. In a further aspect, the cardiovascular disease can be a vascular stenosis or restenosis. Also described herein are methods of making and using the unimolecular core-shell nanoparticle, nanoclusters thereof, and platelet biomimetic nanoclusters thereof. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.

Abstract: Provided herein are self-assembled nanoparticles (NPs), pharmaceutical compositions containing such NPs and methods of using such NPs. The NPs comprise an amphiphilic copolymer and a ribonucleoprotein (RNP), and optionally ssODN, wherein: the amphiphilic copolymer is a water-soluble block copolymer comprising a poly(C2-3 alkylene glycol) block and an acrylic block comprising a poly(acrylate), poly(methacrylate) or poly(acrylate/methacrylate) block; the acrylic block comprise ester side chains bearing substituted or unsubstituted alkylamine groups; and the RNP, ssODN, and the acrylic block of the amphiphilic copolymer form a core of the self-assembled nanoparticle, and the poly(ethylene glycol) block of the amphiphilic copolymer forms the exterior of the self-assembled nanoparticle.

Abstract: Electrically conductive aerogel films, electrodes composed of the electrically conductive aerogel films, and supercapacitors incorporating the electrodes are provided. The aerogel films include reduced graphene oxide particles in combination with metal oxynitride fibers. By including cellulosic nanofibrils in the aerogels, the films can be made mechanically flexible and free-standing.
