Abstract: An interbody spacer for a spine includes a housing having a plurality of clearance holes configured to engage bone of the spine. A contact plate including a plurality of apertures is positioned a distance away from the housing configured to engage bone of the spine. A plurality of rivets adjoin the housing and the contact plate. A plurality of springs are included with each spring configured to encircle a respective rivet and translate the distance between the housing and contact plate from a minimum distance to a maximum distance.

Abstract: A spacer for separating bones of a joint, the spacer includes a first endplate configured to engage a first bone of the joint; a second endplate configured to engage a second bone of the joint; tissue engaging projections, wherein the tissue engaging projections are moveable from a retracted position to a deployed position; and an actuation subassembly that extends between the first endplate and the second endplate, wherein the actuation subassembly comprise a drive nut, a drive screw coupled to the drive nut, and a cam frame coupled to the drive screw, wherein the cam frame is disposed between the first endplate and the second endplate to engage the tissue engaging projections.

Abstract: An expandable spinal interbody implant having a base member and a displaceable member connected by a screw driven linkage mechanism. The implant may include mechanisms for controlling the implant throughout its full range of expansion and retraction to prevent formation of the implant into undesired profiles in the intervertebral space. The displaceable element may be overlapped with the base in a fully expanded state. Alternatively, the displaceable element may exist fully outside of the base. The displaceable element may be hinged and bent in conjunction with the linkage based implant expansion.

Abstract: A medical device for implantation in a knee joint of a human patient is provided. The medical device comprises: an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface comprises: a first point, a second point, a third point, a fourth point, a fifth point, and a sixth point, all points located on different places along a length axis of said inner surface. A first straight line, reaching from the first point to the second point is parallel to a second straight line reaching from the third point to the fourth point, which in turn is parallel to a third straight line reaching from the fifth point to the sixth point. The first and third straight lines are of equal length and the second straight line is longer than the first, furthermore the third straight line is positioned between the first and third straight lines. Wherein the medical device comprises a first articulating surface adapted replaced the surface of the contacting surface of the medial condyle, a second articulating surface adapted to replace the contacting surface of the lateral condyle and a third articulating surface adapted to replace the contacting surface of the patella.

Abstract: A medical device for implantation in a hip joint of a human patient is provided. The natural hip joint having a ball shaped caput femur as the proximal part of the femoral bone with a convex hip joint surface towards the centre of the hip joint and a bowl shaped acetabulum as part of the pelvic bone with a concave hip joint surface towards the centre of the hip joint. The caput femur has a centrally placed longitudinal extension, extending through the center of the caput and collum femur, aligned with the collum femur, defined as the caput and collum femur center axis. The medical device comprising; an artificial acetabulum, comprising a concave surface towards the centre of the hip joint. The artificial concave acetabulum is adapted to, when implanted, be fixated to the femoral bone of the human patient, and be in movable connection with an artificial caput femur fixated to the pelvic bone of the patient.

Abstract: An expandable intervertebral implant is disclosed for use in between adjacent vertebral bodies in a spine. An expandable intervertebral implant may include an upper plate having a first upper side and a second upper side, a lower plate having a first lower side, a second lower side, and a first lattice that connects the first upper side to the first lower side. The expandable intervertebral implant may further include a second lattice that connects the second upper side of the upper plate to the second lower side of the lower plate and an opening having a longitudinal axis between the upper plate, lower plate, first lattice, and second lattice. The expandable intervertebral implant may further include an expansion mechanism comprising a driver that expands the upper plate and the lower plate away from each other along a cephalad-caudal axis by deforming the first lattice and the second lattice.
